Chapter 341 : Organ Restoration
Chapter 341: Organ Restoration
"Buzz—"
A milky-white glow surged from the center of Janna Roland’s palm. As the Purifying Power spread over Elena’s entire body, threads of foul, turbid illness were continuously drawn out from within her, condensing into small black granules that were caught by the 【Wizard's Hand】.
"Next comes the treatment for the failing organs and the restoration of the bones——"
Flames burned, and after the black granules held in the 【Wizard's Hand】 were completely incinerated, Janna’s right hand moved from her wrist to the position over Elena’s chest cavity.
"Organ Restoration—"
Softly chanting an incantation, the milky-white Purifying Power in Janna’s palm quickly transformed into a vibrant green glow full of life.
Dozens of threads of magic power coursed through Elena’s body like living filaments. The rich vitality acted as a kind of activator, allowing Elena’s withered heart and lung cells to once again be nourished by elemental energy, and her complexion gradually shifted from ashen to increasingly rosy.
"If there were a potion to assist right now, the results would be even better."
Half a month ago, Janna had received a handwritten booklet of 【Introductory Pharmacology】 from the 【Witch Sect】. However, she had been far too busy with other matters lately and had never had the time to study it systematically.
"Once the final exams are over, I can try to learn a bit—"
Time passed bit by bit. After more than an hour, Janna finally declared Elena’s treatment complete.
However, when Janna saw Elena’s pregnant belly, her expression grew somewhat complicated.
Out of caution, the moment Janna received the divination result from the Radiant Dream Butterfly, she had indeed considered abandoning the mission to cure this plague.
Yet, as soon as the thought arose, for some reason, a certain inexplicable premonition surged within her, dispelling that idea at once and compelling her to treat Elena with utmost care and precision.
Perhaps it was due to her contract with the Radiant Dream Butterfly, but at times, Janna could also receive revelations from 【Destiny】.
Even though she knew nothing of 《Divination Studies》, she could still receive an almost instinctive foresight—
—and follow her heart, acting on those premonitions to take the path most beneficial to her current situation.
Treating Elena had been one such choice made purely for “safety.”
"Snap—"
With a flick of her fingers, Elena, who had been under the 【Sleep Spell】, slowly awoke. Seeing this, Janna moved her will, and the hovering 【Wizard's Hand】 opened the door, allowing Bloodfang—who had been waiting outside—to enter.
"She’s cured."
At Janna’s words, Bloodfang, who had been anxiously waiting by the door, rushed to the bedside and gently touched Elena’s forehead. "The fever’s gone! It’s really gone!"
"Lucas—"
"I’m here, Elena. How do you feel? Are you still in pain?"
Elena shook her head slightly, then half-sat up, turning her gaze to Janna.
"Many thanks for saving me, Lady Janna."
"Yes! Lady Janna! Thank you for healing Elena—please, take this!"
Hearing Elena’s words, Bloodfang seemed to remember himself. Supporting Elena with one arm, he reached into his belongings with the other and pulled out a cowhide-paper-wrapped envelope, offering it to Janna.
"A raven will come by later to inspect the mission results. When it does, just hand over the mission receipt to it."
"Ah, you misunderstand—this is just a small token from Elena and me. Please, you must accept it——"
Faced with Bloodfang’s earnest gaze, Janna still shook her head, politely refusing.
In the past, she would not have declined such “off-mission earnings.” But this time, due to the Radiant Dream Butterfly’s divination, her stance was unusually firm.
"Make sure to eat well over the next couple of days, and try not to go out if you can."
"Alright, Lady Janna—let me see you out."
"No need, I can leave on my own."
Taking in Bloodfang’s grateful expression and Elena—who had lain back down on the bed, her face hidden from view—Janna pulled her Wizard Hood over her head and descended the wooden stairs without hesitation, leaving the Antler Alley Tavern.
However, after leaving the tavern, she did not hurry away. Instead, she cast the 【Psychology Invisibility】 witchcraft and concealed herself at a corner of a nearby alley.
"Traveler wandering across the myriad planes, friendly creature of the Spirit Realm that can be commanded, I summon in the name of Janna Roland—Godwalker Hermes!"
A gentle breeze stirred, and with a flash of deep violet light, a scarecrow wearing a top hat and black tailcoat, with gold-rimmed monocle perched on its face, appeared before Janna.
"Mr. Hermes, please deliver this letter to Grace Eva at White Coral Academy."
"No~ problem"
Having delivered items for Janna many times before, Godwalker Hermes took the leaves and Silver Surrel payment, then leapt into the void, vanishing from sight.
"Now, we wait."
Watching the spot where Godwalker Hermes had disappeared, Janna’s expression turned far more solemn than the ease she had shown in front of Bloodfang and Elena.
"Caw—"
Just as she was about to find a discreet spot to wait for Grace Eva, an unexpected, sharp noise broke her train of thought.
"Lord Rook?"
"Apprentice, this is a new mission the Academy is assigning you today."
As soon as the words fell, several letters dropped from Rook’s cloth pouch into Janna’s hands.
"These are all urgent missions. Don’t delay them."
With those instructions given, Rook flapped his wings and left the alley.
"Another plague treatment mission?"
Glancing at the urgent mission letters in her hands, Janna fell into thought. After a brief pause, she chanted a spell and summoned the Thornflower Sprite.
"Laura, guard this spot. If anyone inside the tavern makes any unusual moves, inform me through telepathy at once."
"Yes, Master."
The half-human, half-flower sprite quickly burrowed underground, extending a slender vine to keep watch beside the Antler Alley Tavern.
"I hope Professor Grace sees that letter soon…"
Over the next while, Janna moved through various parts of Turin City.
Her patients this time numbered over a dozen, but without exception, their symptoms were much lighter than Elena’s.
During this period, Janna also encountered another pregnant woman—yet this time, the Radiant Dream Butterfly entered her dreamscape without any obstruction at all.
