Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow, slyly saying, "Oh! Looks like you have quite the experience, huh!"
Huo Jiantian didn’t realize he’d fallen into Ling Yueyue’s trap at all. He lifted his delicate chin proudly and said, "Of course! You think I’m as dumb as you, doing bad things and not running away, staying back to get hit by others!"
Seeing Huo Jiantian successfully fall into her trap, Ling Yueyue discreetly glanced at Huo Junmo and asked with a smile, "So, tell me, what bad things have you done?"
"I...!" Huo Jiantian was ready to boast about his past achievements, but as soon as he started, he felt something wasn’t right! He gave Ling Yueyue a suspicious look and sneered, "Why should I tell you? I haven’t done anything bad! Trying to trick me, no way! I’m not as dumb as you!" Seeing Huo Jiantian was not taking the bait, Ling Yueyue wasn’t upset. She grinned and praised, "You’ve got the guts, kid! You’re smarter than I thought, you actually knew I was trying to trick you!"
Huo Jiantian raised his brows, "Of course! In the world of wandering, how can you avoid the blade! If you don’t smarten up, how can you protect yourself!"
Looking at his proud little expression, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but laugh, "Where did you learn all this, what a mischievous little rascal!"
"Hmph...!" Huo Jiantian snorted, tilted his head, and wasn’t bothered to entertain Ling Yueyue any longer!
Seeing that he didn’t want to talk to her, Ling Yueyue didn’t force it. She smiled and leaned back in her chair, looking out the window again.
Soon, the three of them returned home!
After dinner, Ling Yueyue went back to her room to study!
Since changing her phone number, Ling’s father’s call never came through again! She never called back to check on things!
It was as if she really had broken off all ties with the people back home!
She thought, knowing her parents, they would definitely come find her at school!
But she was wrong! This week, school had been peaceful and quiet, not a sound! Her parents seemed to have disappeared from the world, and she seemed to have really returned to a normal life!

That day, when Huo Junmo picked up Huo Jiantian from school and brought him home, Ling Yueyue was organizing the newly bought items into the suitcase!
Watching Ling Yueyue pack, Huo Jiantian curiously asked, "Evil stepmom, why are you packing? Are you planning to run away from home?"
Ling Yueyue continued putting items in the suitcase, responding indifferently, "Hmph! Why would I run away from home? The food is good, the clothes are good, the sleep is good—I plan to stay here forever and never leave!"
"Thick-skinned!" Huo Jiantian rolled his eyes, continuing to ask, "Since you’re not planning to run away from home, why are you packing a suitcase? And... what is this stuff...?" He said this as he pinched the swimsuit Ling Yueyue had just placed in the suitcase, holding it distastefully with two slender fingers.
Seeing the swimsuit with pink and blue patterns, barely any fabric, Huo Jiantian’s cheeks blushed!
Sitting on the sofa, Huo Junmo glanced at the swimsuit in Huo Jiantian’s hand! Upon seeing the barely-there swimwear, his eyes flickered, and a small blush appeared on his handsome face!
Ling Yueyue snatched the swimsuit from his hand and stuffed it back into the suitcase, snapping, "Little pervert, what are you doing! This is my specially prepared sexy swimsuit! You can’t see it?"
Upon hearing this, Huo Jiantian frowned and quickly said, "Why did you buy a swimsuit? Are you going to have fun at the beach! Let me tell you, I want to go too! Don’t think you can play by yourself and leave me at home!"
"Why should I take you? Let me tell you, I’m going to the honeymoon with your dad the day after tomorrow! Haha... We’re going abroad for a couple’s world! Bring you along, wouldn’t that be like bringing a third wheel? No way!" Ling Yueyue said as she continued packing.
Originally, she just wanted to show off in front of Huo Jiantian, deliberately teasing him!
But after hearing her words, Huo Jiantian suddenly got anxious. As Ling Yueyue was not paying attention, he quickly closed her suitcase and sat on it, crossing his arms over his chest, pouting, "I’ll tell you, don’t think you can leave me at home and go have fun yourselves! If you don’t take me, then you guys won’t go either! Hmph...!" He said, turning his face aside.
Seeing Huo Jiantian sitting on her suitcase, Ling Yueyue didn’t push him off. Instead, she stood to the side, crossed her arms, and looked down at him with a smile, saying, "Don’t say I won’t take you! Even if I agree to take you, can you go? Don’t forget, you have school. It’s not winter break, it’s not summer break, how can you come with us? Are you planning to skip school? Let me tell you, if you skip school, your dad will spank you!"
Huo Jiantian confidently replied, "We’re just in kindergarten, we can take leave! As long as dad asks for leave for me, they wouldn’t dare to say no!"
Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow, smirking, "You think that’s possible? Ask for leave to take you out to play?"
"Why not? I’ve long mastered the kindergarten stuff, but still have to stay with those childish kids every day, it’s boring to death! I don’t care, whatever happens, you must take me along, otherwise... or else...!" Here, Huo Jiantian paused, thought seriously for a moment, and firmly declared, "Or else... or else I’ll go on a hunger strike!"
