Ye Anxin felt a surge of joy and quickly asked, "Uncle, why are you here?"
Without a word, Mu Beiting wrapped an arm around Ye Anxin’s waist and lifted her straight off the chair, carrying her away without even looking back.
With Mu Beiting carrying Ye Anxin off, Ling Yueyue could only shake her head helplessly, then stand up and walk to the elevator, taking the president’s private elevator straight up to the top floor!
Because of the meeting, Li Na and Meng Bo were both out! The huge top floor was empty and echoing, not a trace of human presence!
Ling Yueyue pushed open the door to Huo Junmo’s office and went in. After wandering around once, she boredly walked over to Huo Junmo’s bookshelf hoping to find a magazine to read!
But after searching for a long time, she found nothing but financial magazines, books on the stock market and such. Not a single one suited her taste!
Helpless, she could only flop down on the sofa to play on her phone and browse her Moments.
Playing and playing, she unknowingly drifted off to sleep!
When Huo Junmo finished the meeting and came in, he immediately saw Ling Yueyue sleeping on the sofa, her phone lying on her chest!
Huo Junmo shook his head helplessly, walked over, took the phone from her hand, then took the suit jacket hanging to the side and draped it over her!

Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow at him and asked with a laugh, "You... you were touching me? Trying to take advantage of me while I was asleep?"
Huo Junmo cleared his throat twice and forced an explanation, looking very unnatural. "Just now I saw your hair stuck to your face, so I was pushing it aside for you."
"But I put my hair in a ponytail today." Ling Yueyue mercilessly exposed his lie!
Huo Junmo’s expression froze. He tossed the phone down beside her. "Your phone’s ringing. Pick up, or the caller will hang up!" With that, he quickly turned around and headed for his desk!
Watching his almost panic-stricken back as he fled, Ling Yueyue raised her brows in triumph, picked up her phone from the sofa, and the moment she glanced at the caller ID, her face instantly darkened!
Sitting down in the chair behind his desk, Huo Junmo saw her staring blankly at the screen, not answering, and couldn’t help asking, "Why aren’t you picking up? Who is it?"
Ling Yueyue gave Huo Junmo a look and gently shook her head. "Someone irrelevant." With that, she directly hung up the call!
As soon as she disconnected, the phone rang again.
Ling Yueyue cut the call again!
And so it went, over and over! The person calling still wouldn’t give up, as if they wouldn’t be satisfied unless Ling Yueyue answered!
When the phone rang yet again, Huo Junmo’s deep eyes glanced searchingly at the phone in Ling Yueyue’s hand, and he said helplessly, "Calling this many times, it must be something urgent. Just pick up. If it’s inconvenient, I can step out for a bit."
Ling Yueyue hesitated for a moment, then finally stood up from the sofa. "No need, I’ll go out to answer." Saying that, she grabbed the constantly ringing phone and left the president’s office.
So as not to disturb Huo Junmo, after leaving the president’s office Ling Yueyue deliberately found a relatively quiet spot before answering the call. She put the phone to her ear and said impatiently, "Hello, why are you calling me? Didn’t I say it already? Stop calling me, I don’t have any money left!"
That’s right, it was Ling’s father calling!
She knew better than anyone that under normal circumstances her parents would never call her!

On the other end of the line came Ling’s father’s anxious, tear-choked voice. "Yueyue, this time you really have to help us! Your little sister got into a fight with a classmate at school today and broke the bridge of their nose! The classmate’s parents won’t let it go, they’re insisting we pay compensation or they’ll have your sister thrown in jail! You know we don’t have any money! So we can only turn to you!"
Hearing this, Ling Yueyue laughed outright. "Make it up, keep making it up! See if you can come up with an even more ridiculous excuse!"
"Yueyue, it’s true, we’re not making it up! The classmate’s parents are camped out at our place right now and refuse to leave. If you don’t believe me, listen!" As he spoke, Ling’s father moved the phone away from his ear, and soon curses and wails, people crying like the sky was falling, all tangled together and came through the phone into Ling Yueyue’s ear.
