Chapter 271: Soul Bonding Connie
The next morning, I found the kids still asleep in the living room. Red was snooring loudly while sprawled on her back. Orglina was sleeping on top of her, with Chip and the hoary marmot cuddling on either side.
Alpha, in their manifested form, had a pillow leaning against them where Dean was soundly sleeping. A rat, which looked larger than I remembered it, was asleep next to him. Both of them looked much better fed than we had first found them.
I quietly made my way past them to the kitchen before pulling up the soul chat. I just didn’t have the supplies on hand to cook them a big breakfast anymore, but I knew who did.
| Dave: Rabyn, there was an impromptu sleepover here last night. At least I think it was. I’m not actually sure. But that doesn’t matter. My point is I haven’t been stocking a lot of food here anymore since we eat at the hall so often. Any chance you could deliver breakfast before I wake them all up? Rabyn: I can send someone. Who do you have over there? Dave: Orglina, Red, Dean, his rat, Chip, and the hoary marmot are probably all going to want something. Assuming the marmot isn’t still full from yesterday. Rabyn: Quite the collection. I’ll send Gorpila with the food shortly. Make her stay and eat it with them if you can. She needs more fun time with other kids. Alpha: We invited, she decline. Dave: Don’t wake them up, Alpha. But that’s okay, we will see what we can do for your next sleepover. Maybe Glorp can poke his siblings a bit. Alpha: Can have more? Dave: Of course. This is your home too, and if you enjoyed it and your friends had fun, you should have more. Alpha: They did, made popcorn. When Maud and Cats back, invite them. Dave: I’m sure she’d happily accept, probably the moose too. Alpha: Forgot moose. Moose friend too. Karlinovo: Is today the day for Connie still? Dave: Yep. I’ll find her after breakfast. Karlinovo: Alright. I’ll head back to the city. I haven’t been able to determine a lot here, but what I can tell you is that the dungeon energy on the planet is growing. It’s not a lot, but it seems to correspond to the Earth growing as well. Dave: Is that bad? Karlinovo: No idea, but it is something. So we should watch it. Elicec: Cecile and I will be there after we finish breakfast ourselves. Do you want us to grab Connie for you? Dave: If you could, that would probably speed things up. Cecile: No problem. Rabyn: I’ll prepare the food for afterward. Dave: Thanks, everyone.
