Divine System: Land of the Abominations

Chapter 518: Infinity.

Evangeline’s main elemental attribute was the blood element. All elemental mana shards had their unique properties. The blood elemental mana shard was a unique and rare type of mana shard. The only ones in Cain’s entire group who had this attribute were David and Evangeline. David had dual elements, darkness and Blood, darkness elemental energy serving as the origins of his crowd control skills, and blood elemental energy serving to boost his defense and vitality.

Evangeline on the other hand didn’t have skills that would boost her health or defense. Rather, it was infact, the opposite. Her skill all involved exciting her bodily potential with the aid of the blood elemental energy, greatly increasing her attack power and speed.

Cain was going to base the runes he was creating on that concept. The power of the blood elemental energy was a very queer and unique, and had numerous applications and uses. For example, in the case of David and Evangeline, even though they both had the same elemental energy, their skills made it so that the application differed, hence the outcome.

To make things clear, although one isn’t stuck using one type of elemental energy, and can still use a different type, depending on potential skills they encounter, it would be best to just stick with one, or at maximum, two. Only in unique cases like Steve, who’s main skill required him to gain mastery over numerous, would learning to control more than two types of elemental energy be worthwhile.

Main skills were the basis on which a majority of a person’s skill stood. For example, Evangeline’s {Blood Manipulation} skill.

A main skill had many determining factors. It must be an internal skill. It could be an active or passive skill, but the idea around it was that it must possess massive power, having room for future improvement.

An example of this would be Cain having two main skills, {Metal Manipulation} and {Golden Blood Technique}. {Golden Blood} was a rare type of skill called a legacy skill. {Metal Manipulation} was also a unique type of skill, just like {Blood Manipulation}.

Skills were built on the basis of mana flow patterns and their relationship with the soul of the individual. That was why the first skills that an individual possessed was usually the best possible option for them, as it was the skill they had the most comparability with.

Although it was possible to gain more skills that were not really associated with the main skill, just like Cain, with his {Spirit Spark} skill that gave him a bit of control over the lightening elemental energy, it still wasn’t a very wise decision, as progress with the skill would be slow when compared to main skills.
