Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

He Yun piloted the hovercar, circling above the Underground Shelter, taking Wu Chang and Erin on a tour of the changes there.

On the first underground level, where the Shelter’s residents congregated, the most conspicuous building was the Eternal Light Church, remodeled by the Bliss Sect.

He Yun introduced the Eternal Light Sect into the Underground Shelter. With the support of her and He Yi, it took little effort to convert all the residents of the Underground Shelter into Eternal Light Faithful.

The method was simple: proclaim that the True God of the Eternal Light Church would not only bring salvation to the faithful but also save this dead world and lead the faithful back to the surface.

The word "surface" had a deadly allure for all those living underground.

Living in Shelter 88, thanks to He Yun’s remodeling of the city, the residents no longer worried about survival; their quality of life was even better than that recorded for Surface People.

However, no matter how good life was, every time people looked up and saw the vast domed screen instead of the real sky, it reminded them they were merely humans lingering at the end times.

The elderly who had experienced surface life had long passed away. Now, the residents of the Underground Shelter had lived underground since birth.

Most had never been to the surface nor seen the sky, but since birth, they heard from their parents about how beautiful the former Outer World was.

Shelter 88 was excellent; it had enough space for individuals to survive, but it was still too small.

The yearning for the surface and for freedom was ingrained in their bones.

They wanted to see the legendary majestic mountains, vast seas, and expansive skies.

Under the slogan of returning to the surface, everyone became the most devout believers.

As soon as Wu Chang and Erin entered the Underground Shelter, they sensed a high concentration of faith. Though the population of the Underground Shelter was the smallest among all Pillars of the Divine Kingdom, Eternal Light Fruits were already forming on the Tree of Miracles enveloping the Eternal Light Church.

Wu Chang remembered He Yun saying that the third underground level under construction in the Underground Shelter was intended for Outer World purification.

To purify the Outer World required the Power of Faith, so He Yun proactively brought in the Eternal Light Church to gather Power of Faith in Erin’s name to power the purification plan for the Outer World.

He recalled when He Yun, in her laboratory, demonstrated the effect of Outer World purification using a small piece of soil.

Before purification, toxin from the soil could cause a flower inserted into it to wither within a few breaths, turning into the dead ash color of the soil.

With the soil purified by the Power of Faith, a flower could last fifteen minutes before withering, and the deceased flower was not assimilated by the soil.

Wu Chang was deeply impressed by He Yun’s experiment, though at that time his focus was on He Yun’s ability to grasp Schultz’s research in such a short time and the severe toxicity of the Underground Shelter’s plane soil, paying little attention to the purification of the Outer World itself.

In his view, with He Yun’s ability, the purification of the Outer World was only a matter of time.

Facts proved he wasn’t wrong.

After touring the Eternal Light Cathedral, He Yun took Wu Chang and Erin straight to the point, descending all the way to the third underground level.

In terms of technology, the Underground Shelter’s plane might not be as advanced as the Hymn Company’s plane, but in terms of infrastructure, it was undeniably the strongest among all the planes Wu Chang had experienced.

Simply creating an enormous space underground to fit a normal city spoke volumes about its value.

When Wu Chang last visited the Underground Shelter, all he saw was a massive convoy of construction vehicles delving deeper underground. Now the third underground level was fully constructed.

Over sixty percent of the third underground level’s area was occupied by a gigantic apparatus.

The apparatus was nearly fifty meters tall, resembling a massive hourglass when viewed from a distance while riding the hovercar.

The top and bottom parts of the apparatus resembled symmetrically placed metallic Pyramids. Energy would enter these metal Pyramids, converging along the energy paths to the Pyramid’s spires.

At the center between the two opposing Pyramid spires, a spherical Energy Central with a diameter of five meters was fixed.

The spherical Energy Central bore traces of the previous purification device, but compared to the previous small purification device of demigod specifications, the current Energy Central had preliminarily reached the Lower Level God Level.

It was evident that He Yun had made progress in Schultz’s research during this period.

He Yun introduced to Wu Chang and Erin:

"This apparatus is named the ’Outer World Purification Generator’. It was modified based on previous experiment results."

"When the machine operates, the two Demigod Condensation Pyramids can gather Power of Faith into Divine Power, channel it into the Energy Central, which then imbues it with divine purification properties."

"Finally, the entire apparatus directs the purified Divine Power simultaneously into the surface and Earth’s core, purifying the surface while activating the entire planet’s vitality."

The technical details were too specialized for Wu Chang to understand, but he grasped that He Yun could imbue divinity with attributes.

This alone demonstrated that He Yun’s research on divinity had almost caught up with Schultz, reaching at least the same realm.

Transferring this technology onto mecha to create a Lower Level God grade mecha was just around the corner.

As Wu Chang, Erin, and their companions alighted from the hovercar, they saw He Yi and his people guarding around the Outer World Purification Generator.
