Chapter 1066 - 157: Family Beauty Reinforcements · Beyond the Fifth Degree, It’s Not Incest, Right?
Jeff caught his breath and said seriously, "Although Suna is young, she is a real treasure in the family, especially in the aspect of Bloodline Technique! She has mastered a Secret Magic that can enhance the probability of family bloodline pregnancy, which we call the Bloodline Activation Technique!"
"Bloodline Activation Technique?" Su Li repeated, his tightly knit brow slightly relaxing, though the doubt in his eyes had not completely dissipated.
"Exactly!" Old Jeff nodded vigorously, his eyes shining with light, "This Secret Magic, through specific medications, can increase the probability of bloodline pregnancy in the family. Initially, this ability seemed insignificant, but for Young Master Suli, it is extremely beneficial."
He pointed to Suna: "This child Suna has a remarkable talent. The family head considered that you have a significant demand for badge blood and that the family members who could provide bloodline support were truly limited, hence decided to let Suna come to assist you with this skill. With her here, cooperating with your own blood, along with these twenty ’Blood Sources’ of ours, you will be able to meet the demand for large-scale badge production in the future!"
Su Li suddenly came to an understanding and let out a long breath; the feeling that had shocked him vanished instantly. He awkwardly touched his nose, and the gaze he directed at Suna carried a hint of gratitude.
"I see now!" Su Li’s voice returned to normal, even with a trace of delight, "Cousin Suna, I didn’t expect you to possess such a precious skill! This really... helps a lot! I was really... disrespectful earlier."
But he sincerely apologized to Suna, whose cheeks were still rosy. She looked up, her round bright eyes containing a slight sense of relief and an effort to appear calm, "Cousin, you are too kind. Being able to serve the family and alleviate your worries as my cousin is Suna’s honor. This skill can truly relieve the future pressure of bloodline blood supply. Also..."
She paused, her voice gentle yet clear, adding: "Additionally, our blood relation, according to the Divine Codex of the Empire, Volume V, Chapter VII, has already surpassed the fifth degree of kinship. Strictly speaking, under both secular and church law, we are not considered close relatives." She seemed to emphasize this crucial point, deliberately dispelling the awkward misunderstanding Su Li had just now.
What? Surpassed the fifth degree of kinship?
In that case, it shouldn’t be considered incest, right?
From both secular and church law, the two indeed can be together.
Although Old Jeff emphasized Suna’s ability, it feels like the family must have told this cousin something.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been blushing since she met Su Li. After all, others can propagate the bloodline, and Suna, with her plump, tender body, can too. She can teach fishing and bear a child for Su Li.
Moreover, from the family’s perspective, this arrangement is clearly more perfect. It can tighten the ties between Hesse Territory and the family.
Just like Philis and Avril’s choice back then, a kite with one string is easy to break, but when many strings intertwine, this myriad of connections becomes unbreakable.
Furthermore, from marriage law’s perspective, there’s absolutely no problem for the two to be together. The two had hardly met before, and Suna doesn’t even know which Kingdom Knight’s daughter she is. Bauhinia Castle is a Count’s Territory with plenty of barons and Kingdom Knights under it, and this young lady had hardly visited Bauhinia Castle before. If not for Su Li’s request, perhaps they would never have met in their lifetime.
Thinking this way, Su Li finally let go, everything should happen naturally. At least during this period, he could be liberated; more than 20 members coming to aid with family bloodlines could substitute for him to provide fresh blood for a long time.
