Chapter 829: It’s Not My Fault
Mrs. Li paused with the melon seeds in her hand, momentarily unable to react, "What?"
Another woman laughed behind her hand, "Doctor Gu has returned."
"Riding a carriage, dressed in silk clothes, looks like he’s made a fortune."
"And your daughter—"
Before the woman could finish her sentence, Mrs. Li threw the melon seeds aside and dashed out.
Despite her large belly, she wasn’t afraid of falling.
The other women exchanged glances and quickly followed her.
Mrs. Li ran all the way to the Gu Family’s gate, and only then did she stop.
The gate of the Gu Family’s courtyard was closed, and not a person was in sight.

Yun Jiao and Gu Chuan had just settled in the hall, and the second aunt, full of joy, was calling her newly married daughter-in-law, "Juanzi, quickly boil some water, use those tea leaves your father bought in the city, and make a few cups of tea."
The daughter-in-law hurried to the kitchen, and the second aunt was about to ask where Gu Yuheng had been all these years when she heard crying from afar getting closer.
The second aunt turned to look outside the door, thinking to herself, it must be Mrs. Li; only his former sister-in-law cries at the drop of a hat.

Just then, Mrs. Li walked in, her belly protruding.
A group of women followed into the courtyard, peeking their heads inside to look.
Seeing Gu Yuheng inside, Mrs. Li got so excited she couldn’t contain herself, shouted "Yu Lang," and rushed towards him.
Gu Yuheng was taken aback; he almost didn’t recognize Mrs. Li.
Mrs. Li was not the fair-skinned, delicate woman he remembered; she looked much older.
Her head was wrapped in a scarf, and she wore a red flower print dress, which had some suspicious stains.
The second aunt stepped forward to block Mrs. Li, "What are you doing, what are you doing?"
Mrs. Li stretched out her hand toward Gu Yuheng, crying uncontrollably, "Yu Lang, woo woo woo woo—you’ve finally returned, you don’t know what life I’ve been living since you left!"
Gu Yuheng’s eyes fell on her belly, and he sneered without speaking.
The second aunt looked at Gu Yuheng with his cold face and then at Yun Jiao who hadn’t even called her mother; their attitudes were clear.
She spat toward Mrs. Li, "Stop calling my brother-in-law!"
"You’ve already married someone else and have nothing to do with our family anymore. Who let you in? Get out, hurry up." As she said this, she pushed Mrs. Li out.
Mrs. Li cried miserably, "Yu Lang, listen to me, it’s not my fault."
"It’s my sister-in-law and second sister-in-law who didn’t want me idling at home and forced me to marry."
She suddenly turned and glared at Yun Jiao with hatred, "It’s all because of you, you unfilial girl, first driving me from Xiang City back to my parents’ home, making me suffer. She covered her face, "Pity me, a weak woman, with no support from my family. What could I do other than get married?"
Yun Jiao remained expressionless, too indifferent to bother with her. After all, she had already told Gu Yuheng everything Mrs. Li had done in full detail.
