Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 385: Can’t Win? Load the Save Point!

The golden blade streaked through the void, slicing straight through the center of the scar. Six chains of destruction pierced deep inside.

Just as the Razor made contact, a layer of green runes suddenly appeared on the scar’s surface—the creation seal left by Observer No. 9.

The golden Destruction Rule and the green creation rule clashed violently. In an instant, they annihilated each other in a massive explosion. A spherical shockwave, five hundred meters wide, blasted outward, tearing the space apart into a web of countless cracks.

"Fuck!" Logan managed to curse only halfway.

Kane took the brunt of the hit. His ten-meter frame was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, tumbling three hundred meters through the air.

The old wound on his chest tore open completely. A bowl-sized gash burst wide, and golden divine blood sprayed out like a high-pressure fountain, losing more than 500 milliliters every second.

His gray eyes went blank, his pupils dilating as he lost consciousness mid-air. His body shrank rapidly down to just two meters tall. The Blade of Destruction slipped from his grip and plunged into the ground.

Logan, standing at the edge of the blast zone, was hit square by the aftermath. Cracks instantly spread across his five-helix DNA surface until they were as thick as toothpicks. His power plummeted from 82 star to 66 star, and blood gushed from all his orifices.

The space shield on his left arm was covered in spiderweb cracks. The Blade of Time in his right hand splintered with deep notches. Three of his ribs were broken, and his internal organs had shifted from the impact.

"Damn it..." Logan dropped to one knee, the taste of copper rising in his throat.

Violet watched Kane get blown away. Her golden vertical pupils instantly filled with tears.

Seeing Logan kneeling in such a weakened state, her fingers tightened around the Sky-Tearing Ancestral Horn. The horn grew scorching hot, pushing past its limits as she prepared to activate the "mutual destruction" mode.

"Don’t move! Wait for me! Stay alive!" Logan’s mind link crackled, hoarse but firm, piercing straight through the smoke into her consciousness.

Violet’s fingers froze. Staring at Logan’s kneeling form, she forced down her urge to sacrifice herself. She bit her lower lip hard, keeping her hands steady on the horn to maintain the totem’s drain.

Three seconds of Time Freeze ended. The Origin Devourer regained its movement and let out a scream of pain.

Its kilometer-tall body wobbled. The black hole in its chest re-expanded, but clear cracks now marred the golden scar on its throat. Green creation seals and black Devouring Rules leaked out, forming a gray mist.

It was clearly wounded. The black vortex on its face churned violently as it locked onto the kneeling Logan. The black hole in its chest slowly expanded, bearing down on him.

Logan knelt on one knee, gripping the Blade of Time tightly as he gauged the remaining 66 star energy in his body.

He calculated the cost of the Time Anchor. Turning back to 82 star would drain his core essence and worsen his DNA cracks. But right now, he had no choice.

Taking a deep breath to push down the bitter taste in his throat, he prepared to activate the Time Anchor.

Not far away, Kane lay unconscious in a pool of golden blood, ten meters across. The Blade of Destruction stuck in the ground trembled slightly, its fading light flickering on and off.

The Origin Devourer expanded its ten-mile Black Hole Domain, closing in until it was just one mile away from Logan. The gravity was so intense it pulled Logan’s robes tight against his body, and loose rocks on the ground began rolling toward the black hole.

"Time Anchor... Activated." Logan said coldly.

The moment he spoke, he slammed his right hand down, driving the Blade of Time into the earth.

Silver time rules poured along the blade’s edge into the earth, reaching a Save Point left ten days ago: twelve hours prior, at his peak 82 star power, with a perfect five-helix DNA and all three Demigod bones unused.

Colorful light erupted from the prophecy mark on Logan’s brow. Silver time rules formed a reversing vortex, enveloping his entire body.

On the edge of the second frontline, Violet watched in shock as Logan’s bleeding wounds instantly healed, his broken ribs snapped back into place, and his cracked space shield became whole again.

His power surged from a near-death 66-star straight back to peak 82-star. The cracks in his five-helix DNA vanished completely, and the five colors of light flowed steadily once more.

The Time Anchor backward reset was complete.

Logan stood up. Simultaneously, five Rule Manifestation weapons formed around him, slowly rotating: the Blade of Time in his right hand, the space shield in his left, plus the Staff of Creation, Bow of Destruction, and Chains of the Soul.

Violet’s golden vertical pupils contracted sharply, and her fingers loosened slightly on the Sky-Tearing Ancestral Horn.

She had just been ready to sacrifice herself for a mutual destruction. Seeing her Master standing there, fully restored to his peak, a wave of huge joy made her eyes burn. Pale golden tears swirled in her vertical pupils.

The Origin Devourer’s mind trace on Logan suddenly vanished from its perception, then reappeared in the exact same spot, fully intact.

The black vortex on its face stopped rotating instantly. The black hole in its chest shrank down to a five-mile diameter. It let out a startled, screeching roar that sounded like metal grinding: "Time reversal? Impossible!"

This was the first time a super Demigod-stage existence had shown an emotion like shock. It even instinctively took a hundred steps backward.

Ignoring the creature’s confusion, Logan sank his consciousness into his Soul Sea.

There, five intertwined gene chains were materialized. Floating above the corresponding rule helices were the consciousnesses of the three Demigod bones: Yepera, Black Dragon, and Nyarlathotep.

Yepera’s consciousness spoke first, heavy with seriousness: "Kid, you triggered a time reversal? You’ve consumed 0.3% of your five-helix DNA essence. Although the cracks have reset, the essence loss is irreversible."

"How many more times can I reverse?" Logan asked coldly.

A roar exploded in the Soul Sea from the Black Dragon: "With your current DNA stability, you’ll shatter after a maximum of five reversals!"

Nyarlathotep’s soul wave was calm and steady: "There must be at least thirty seconds between each reversal. Otherwise, rule conflicts will tear the Soul Sea apart."

Logan calculated: Five chances to make mistakes were enough to find a way to break the golden scar’s mechanism.

"What about the temporary body?"

Yepera replied: "The Ancestral Spirits girl has stocked up on a million tons of life-energy ore. We can reconstruct the temporary bodies of all three bones, once each. That gives us three uses total, each lasting 24 hours or until Self-Destruct triggers."

Logan quickly formulated a strategy.

First, use the Yepera bone’s [Creation Rule] to trigger a Self-Destruct attack on the scar.

Second, use the Black Dragon bone’s [Destruction Rule] in combination with a Space Cut.

Third, combine both.

If these three fail, the remaining two reversals would be used to find another solution.

"Don’t go beyond five times," Nyarlathotep warned. "Your five-helix isn’t ready to withstand rule backlash yet."

Logan nodded and returned his consciousness to reality.

He opened his eyes, pupils swirling with silver timerune. He stared at the Origin Devourer, which was cautiously retreating from three hundred meters away, and announced coldly, "First test run... begins."

He raised his left hand, gripping the green creation staff. The staff’s light connected to the familiar world.

The Ancestral Spirits girl waved, releasing life spores that combined with the million tons of life-energy ore. The first Yepera bone quickly materialized into a temporary body in the void next to Logan.

Hundreds of meters long, the Titan Python skeleton was covered in 10,086 green creation rune marks, radiating a 48-star Demigod-stage aura.

The Origin Devourer’s black hole shrank again, retreating back to five hundred meters away. Clearly, the sudden recovery and summoning of a Demigod bone had made it wary.

Violet tightened her grip on the Sky-Tearing Ancestral Horn. Its temperature had dropped.

The old burn wound on her palm still throbbed. Looking at the five rule weapons circling Logan and the Titan Python skeleton beside him, her golden vertical pupils were filled with trust.

Fischl, at the first line of defense, saw that Logan had returned to his peak. She immediately ordered the remaining 200,000 Dragon-Rhino Horned Ants to stop Self-Destruct and hold their ground to preserve their strength.

The Origin Devourer’s black vortex face churned violently. It couldn’t understand how Logan could recover from a near-death state in an instant.

It tentatively fired a black Devouring Rule ray at the Yepera skeleton.

The moment the ray hit the skeleton, green creation rule-light flared, canceling out the devouring beam.

Logan stood behind the skeleton, raising his left hand with the space shield. His expression was calm, showing not a flicker of emotion.

He had five chances to make mistakes and three chances to use his bodies. He had enough confidence to find a way to break the golden scar.

" Yepera, charge! Target the golden scar on the throat. Self-Destruct from a hundred meters out!" Logan said, looking at the Origin Devourer 500 meters away as he swept his right hand down hard.

The Titan Python skeleton immediately began to slither forward at 300 meters per second. Its dark-gold bone armor hissed as it rubbed against the air. The 10,086 green rune marks on its surface lit up one by one, releasing its 48-star Demigod pressure without holding back.

The Origin Devourer immediately used its black hole gravity. The suction surged to a hundred times stronger, trying to rip the skeleton into the hole early.

But the Yepera skeleton’s speed didn’t falter at all. Green creation rules formed a translucent shield around it, canceling out most of the gravitational pull. In just two seconds, it reached the hundred-meter mark from the golden scar.

Logan’s left pupil shrank. He precisely timed the scar’s flash window: "Self-Destruct!"

The core of the Titan Python skeleton instantly shattered. A green creation rule shockwave exploded outward in a sphere, 800 meters wide. A full-power strike from a 48-star Demigod sent fine cracks rippling through the surrounding space.

However, the Origin Devourer’s chest black hole spun violently. It directly sucked in 70% of the creation rule energy. The remaining 30% shockwave hit the golden scar, but instead of causing damage, the scar’s green creation seal absorbed it.

The creation seal layer on the golden scar instantly thickened by a third. The original 0.8-second exposure window shrank to just 0.3 seconds.

"Fuck!" Logan’s pupils narrowed sharply.

He miscalculated. Simply using creation rules couldn’t break the seal; it actually fed it.

The Origin Devourer let out a triumphant screech. Black Devouring Rules spread along the ground, wrapping around Logan’s left leg like vines. His bones were dissolved and swallowed in 0.1 seconds. The agony shot through his entire body instantly.

Logan didn’t even frown. He stabbed his right Blade of Time directly into his own heart: "Second reversal."

Silver time rules instantly wrapped around his body. The scene reset. He was back at his peak 82-star state, his left leg whole. The Yepera skeleton was consumed. He had two body chances left.

Logan steadied himself without any pause and immediately summoned the second skeleton in the familiar world.

The pitch-black Dragon skeleton materialized beside him. It was covered in 8,000 black destruction rune marks. Its dragon wings spread wide, blocking out the sky, radiating a 48-star Demigod aura of pure destruction.
