Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 499: Origin Body, The maximum baseline for nexus overclock

"What happened, Grey?" Lia came forward and inquired.

"Nothing." Grey shook his head and softly ruffled Lia’s hair.

"Come. Let’s get ready to head out." Grey said as he swept his gaze towards the gods, who all acknowledged his command.

Since they could abduct Lia and get here in a short amount of time, they must have some means of fast travel, although using the Origin Will would be faster. He couldn’t use the Heavenly Dao’s power either. He had used it twice already, and it was already going low on fuel; he planned on saving it for a critical junction.

He then spoke to Kaelith. "What is it like around here? Where exactly are we?"

"We are in the Origin Sea Galaxy right now. It is relatively close to the domain border separating the other side and this side."

"There is a warp jumper here. It is a very sophisticated technology on this side which utilizes the 7th layer of space to move between distant places."

"As you might know, the higher the spatial layer, the more physical distance covered in actual reality. While it cannot be used to get into merged-layer reality like the Crown Expanse, it can be used for getting to the Milky Way, the place the Primordial Axe and the God Empress were in."

"Is that so?" Grey nodded. "Then let’s use that option."

Kaelith nodded.

Soon, they set off to the area where the warp jumper was located, using the Dragon Monarch spaceship that Grey had stored in the Lesser Heaven Space.

They reached a barren planet orbiting a massive, ancient-looking gate.

"Halt!" However, just before they could continue onward, a gigantic being materialized before them. Its presence was crushing, and it was the size of a star region; the small barren planet was not even as big as one of the being’s eyes.

It was a 6th rank being at the third stage.

"Let me handle this," Grey spoke to everyone as he left the spaceship.

Compared to the huge being, Grey was nothing but a speck of dust.

The instant he entered the starry sky and gazed at the behemoth, his comprehension stirred.

[By observing a being with a genetically optimized body using origin energy, you have gained insight into the optimization phenomenon and the Origin Body phenomenon.]

Insights surged into Grey’s mind like a tidal wave. Just one glance at the being was enough for him to understand its true nature.

It was absolute genetic optimization.

The gene optimization fluid they utilized became clear to Grey in an instant.

The Origin Body was a form crafted at the 5th rank by the pathstriders of the Origin Body Evolvers. It was reaching a stage where one could devour the essence of a world, and then devour an origin treasure with that same power to infuse one’s body with origin genes. Their physical bodies expanded by consuming the raw origin power of the universe.

"These genes are condensed using the gene optimization field, which converts raw energy directly into biology." This was the concept Grey was most interested in.

Energy into biology. The people on the other side of the universe used the exact opposite path: biology into energy.

It was quite funny to him.

But he could use this. He suddenly got inspiration for his 6th rank.

The 5th rank was about anchoring one’s existence, while the 6th rank was about optimizing your existence as a higher-ranking being.

The immortals optimized themselves by making their spark burn brighter, cleansing away the mortal impurities and the physical laws that bound their previous, lower-dimensional selves.

"I could incorporate this exact path into my sixth rank."

"They still retain their Origin Body despite transcending dimensionality. Their origin genes are precisely what contains their dimensionality and the power over it." Grey further analyzed the huge being.

All of these thoughts happened in less than a single second. Suddenly, the behemoth swung its massive hand at Grey.

The law of fire erupted from the being, forming a blazing, apocalyptic barrier around its hand as it came crashing down on Grey like a falling star.

It reminded him quite a lot of the Buddha and Sun Wukong; a massive palm crushing toward Sun Wukong, large enough to cover an entire planet.

This was a very similar situation.

Boom!

Frequential Nexus energy erupted violently from Grey as the Origin Breaker, his dharma weapon, materialized in his hand. It had grown in power alongside him, and the following moment, all of his energy converged onto the blade, which began to glow with an eerie, destructive light.

The entire starry sky fell dead silent as Grey unleashed Nexus Overclock.

Within seconds, it breached 600%.

He could actually go higher than 600%. Having become a source being, he had already calibrated Nexus Overclock to revolve entirely around his source core. As a result, he could push past the limit using the Convergence Principle Core’s reverse golden ratio principle.

600% was his new normal baseline, just like how he could hide Nexus Overclock so it was always running in the background of his body, keeping his strength at that baseline permanently. He actually didn’t know how far he could push it now.

"Should I try it?" Grey mumbled as he steadily increased the output.

The golden ratio concept, ever-present in his source core, violently revolved as Nexus Overclock surged to new, terrifying heights.

700%

A shockwave of pure energy erupted from Grey’s body.

His physical form lit up like a starry sky. Circuits blinked into existence from his toes all the way to his eyes, which glowed like miniature suns. The Origin Breaker in his hand vibrated with a sense of immense elevation.

But it didn’t stop there.

Boom!

Another violent burst erupted from Grey as his power skyrocketed.

Then another, and one more.

1000% Nexus Overclock Amplification.

This was a level of amplification that he had once used to fight Tian Yuan back on the Blue Star, but back then, it had put an immense strain on his body. He had needed to use his law of life and healing potions just to survive a single attack.

But now, this was his maximum limit without suffering injuries.

Then, Grey moved. The Origin Breaker in his hand hummed with lethal intent. He slowly raised his hand as the glowing Nexus Overclock circuits spread from his arm directly into the Origin Breaker, making the blade rapidly blink with world-ending power.

Then he swung.

Boom!

With his swing, the fabric of the starry sky tore apart. Raging, frequential Nexus energy erupted from the small blade. A single, compressed slice, containing the pure conceptual power to obliterate stars, cleaved through the void of space and instantly reached the gigantic being.

The next moment, the behemoth’s body was cleanly split in two. Nexus energy aggressively corroded its origin genes, while the Flame of Entropy and Heavenly Flame spread from the gaping wound, rapidly consuming it whole.

"Nooo!" the being screamed in pure agony as it constantly lost origin cells. Its massive body began to rapidly shrink as it continuously lost its power. From the 6th rank, it plummeted to the third stage of the 5th rank. But right before its origin completely collapsed and it was forced back to the 4th rank, Grey halted his attack.

"Who are you? Why did you attack us?" Grey inquired.

"I-I didn’t mean anything bad," the being, who was now just a normal-sized man, said with terror as he eyed Grey.

The instant this man’s attack had been unleashed, his entire genetic structure had screamed and twisted in pure instinctual fear.

The energy this monster unleashed had completely fractured his origin genes in a single move. He couldn’t believe such destructive energy could exist in this world.

It gave him the sense of oppression which suggested: You are not worthy to unleash your own power in it’s presence.

"I was tasked with guarding the warp gate," the man stuttered out. "Some people have been entering the warp gate with unauthorized access, so the Origin Sea Federation had to improvise and sent me to stop any invaders. I was tasked with eliminating them."

"Oh." Grey nodded, then simply clapped his hands, and the man fell unconscious.

He cut off the man’s connection to his mind and then used his powers to forge fake cognitive information using data energy, planting it deep within the man’s psyche.

Now, he would never know they had come here.

"It’s clear." Grey beckoned to the people on the ship. "Let’s get going now."

Whoosh!

The Dragon Monarch ship began moving again as it pulled up next to the warp gate.

But before they jumped in, Grey went out and entered the nearby command center.

"Hmm. Let’s see what we have here," Grey tilted his head as he connected to the servers of the Origin Sea Galaxy.

Immediately, a massive firewall and deep encryption appeared in Grey’s face.

But who was he? He was a being that could directly manipulate the information layer; even the mecha race had to fear his processing power.

His source core began to rapidly compute the encryption as a split consciousness worked hard to form the perfect blueprint to break this digital lock using his mecha race abilities.

Soon, a formula was born, and with a few digital twists, the firewall shattered apart.

Grey immediately gained access to their localized internet and took in all the necessary information.

Seeing some of the data, Grey’s eyes lit up. "Interesting."

But he wasn’t necessarily here to just scour for information; he had a much bigger plan!

"Spread my path." Grey grinned.

He was going to upload his evolutionary path into this world.

He was going to break their system!

And he also made sure to add a highly aggressive virus that would make the path spread everywhere it possibly could. Unless a true mecha being arrived here personally and tried to resolve it, no one would be able to scrub this virus from their network. It was made in seconds, but even a high-tier mecha being would take days to crack it.

With that done, he went back to the spaceship. He looked forward to the results.

Soon, the spaceship entered the warp jumper.
