The spikes retracted from where they had emerged, and as they did, Granian Ace regenerated back to life. This time, however, he was angry.
For the first time, the clone’s face displayed emotion—anger.
But this was a problem for one good reason.
’It’s angry!’ Gravax exclaimed internally, his heart sinking at the sight of his clone showing emotion. The Granian Lord had never programmed emotions into his clones, nor had he ever intended to.
This was a problem in its own right, and if he didn’t rectify it, it would most definitely backfire on him.
"Stand down, clone!!" The Granian, now close enough for his voice to be heard, commanded the clone. The clone didn’t listen, nor did it even acknowledge the Granian Lord. Instead, it glared at the Blood Warrior with pure hostility, mirroring the hatred directed toward it.
"I SAID STAND DOWN, CLONE!!"
Gravax needed to end the fight immediately before it started.
His first clone was already down—barely able to stand, let alone fight but thankfully, it could still be nursed back to health. But if he didn’t step in to stop Granian Ace, it was certainly going to die. From his estimation, the clone had only one regeneration left, and it had just used it.
"CLONE, STAND DOWN!!" Gravax yelled, like a parent barking orders at their rebellious teenager. But like a rebellious teenager, the clone ignored him. It shut Gravax out completely and focused solely on the Seigeborn Commander.
"Ace," Gravax pleaded, begging the Blood Prince to command his Warrior to stand down. "I’ve seen enough. Call it off. That’s enough for today."
Unfortunately for Gravax, Ace shut him down too and instead turned his focus to his system.

[Reward: Rank level increase for your Blood Warrior and the warriors it commands.]
’Did you account for this too?’
Ace grinned and continued to ignore the Granian Lord. He continued to watch while his strongest Blood Warrior readied herself to "atone for her weakness."
"ACE!!"
"There’s nothing I can do, Gravax." He lied. "The Blood Warrior won’t rest until it kills your clone."
"Unsummon it then," Gravax argued, but he knew his words weren’t going to be taken seriously. Judging by Ace’s nonchalant expression and body language, he figured the Blood Prince wasn’t going to listen or tell his Blood Warrior to stand down.
’Curse these humans.’

Second Round.
Granian Ace and Enoris glared angrily at each other, both driven by the desire to destroy the other as brutally as possible.
Enoris wanted to kill the clone because it was an insult—a grotesque imitation of her master’s image. She also wanted to kill it because it brutally humiliated her and her fellow Commanders during their first encounter, and because of that, she felt ashamed of herself as a warrior and as a member of Ace’s Scarlet Army. That failure weighed heavily on her pride.
The Granian clone, on the other hand, wanted to absorb Enoris out of pure instinct. Its Granian nature refused to accept weakness; its human-derived ego drove it to surpass the Blood by all means necessary and possible.
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
Enoris tapped her sword against her shield three times. Her glowing eyes burned brighter as a deeper bloodlust overtook her.
Empowered by her master’s strength and blood lust, the Blood Warrior stood her ground and motioned for the clone to attack first.
The clone, programmed to learn and adapt, chose not to engage the Blood Warrior head-on. Putting two and two together, the clone figured that it could conjure items using blood. If it could form blood spikes from blood, what else could it make?
Using the Blood Warrior’s likeness as its blueprint, Granian Ace forged a crimson set of armor similar to Enoris’ around its body for protection, though lacking a shield and sword. It was nowhere skilled enough to wield those weapons, but it trusted its raw power and close combat ability.
*FWOOM*
Despite the weight of its armor, the clone surged forward with incredible speed. At the same time, multiple blood spikes formed mid-air and followed behind it.
Enoris braced herself for the impact, her shield firmly planted into the ground as she braced for impact.
*BAM*
Granian Ace slammed into her shield, its armor absorbing the impact. The blood spikes followed immediately, each striking Enoris with quick, violent force and rapid succession

To the clone’s dismay, Enoris did not bleed, nor did the spikes affect her negatively. If anything, they only enraged her further.
"My turn!"
Her gaze, piercing through her helmet’s visor, locked onto the clone as she drove her greatsword through the shield. The greatsword broke through the clone’s armor and then jabbed deep into the clone’s body.
Enoris’ shield dissolved into her arm, increasing its size and strength as she gripped her sword with both hands. The clone could do nothing but watch as the Seigeborn Commander lifted it off the ground, letting gravity pull its body further down the blade.
Once the sword’s tip came out from the clone’s back, Enoris swung the blade sideways, tearing through flesh, armor, and organs alike. Its suit of armor shattered and broke apart, and most of its organs were taken with the sword.
*THUD*
Granian Ace–defeated and in pain–fell to the ground, broken and bleeding. It was defeated; its opponent was far too experienced and too strong for its inexperienced self to do anything more than chip its shield.
The only reason Granian Ace defeated Enoris the first time was that she underestimated her enemy and fought overconfidently.
Now that she took the fight more seriously, it was obvious who the winner was and who the weaker opponent was.
