Chapter 619 76: [Storm] Domain 2
The remains of the Storm Lord-Bachard have welcomed countless visitors over the ages, and Su Ziyu is undoubtedly one of the deepest explorers into the forbidden zones of memory.
As far as the memories of the Lord of Hell-Asmodeus go, the authority of the Divine Spirit has a sensitivity toward any existence that calls upon its true name. However, very few, including Asmodeus, can sense even a distant memory of being called, as they belong to extremely powerful entities.
Su Ziyu returned to the vast river of memories of the Storm Lord-Bachard. In the hundreds of thousands of years of memories, many points of light shone like stars in the sky. He skipped over the dim starlight, searching for the most intense, most explosive, and highest emotional light. Then, amidst the flashing brilliance, he found the next target.
Boundless gray mist.
This is an unknown, newly explored world, but its location is extremely special. It is closer to chaos than any nearby space, near a tear in the void of the real world.
Undoubtedly, this place has become the new gathering point for the defeated Obelis demons.
Terrifying massacres are taking place on this filthy land. The indigenous inhabitants are a peculiar humanoid race. They don't have a strong civilization but possess an exceptionally powerful king. Su Ziyu, from his observer's perspective, first saw this king besieged by countless Obelis demons.
It should be a demigod, possibly stronger than many Divine Spirits, for it controls part of the Law Power of this plane.
But unfortunately, it still failed.
Standing from the perspective of the demons, Su Ziyu saw the enemies faced by this king. The Storm Lord-Bachard unleashed mountain-crushing black clouds, transforming into a terrible storm and engulfing those indigenous inhabitants with a sky full of lightning. In the shattering gale, a mysterious figure appeared and disappeared like the stealthiest assassin, each appearance leaving terrifying, unhealable scars on the indigenous king.
—"Wind Demon King—Pazuzu [Obelis Demon Lord]!"
This terrifying assassin distracted the indigenous king. Just as it manipulated purple, eerie energy chains to pursue the Wind Demon King-Pazuzu, a massive dark shadow suddenly emerged from the murky water. Its appearance seemed to tear the building laws of this plane, turning the solid ground into a filthy swamp. A bloodthirsty maw filled with sharp teeth exuded malevolent and poisonous energy, and the bite on the target released deadly poison.
—"King of the Deep Sea—Dagon [Obelis Demon Lord]!"
The indigenous king screamed in unbearable agony, attempting to gather the last of its power to strike back at these invading Obelis Demon Lords. But in the darkness, a blurry figure, imperceptible to all, appeared. Behind the thin veil was a fleeting extremity of evil and ugliness. Even without seeing it clearly, Su Ziyu felt immense pollution, as if his spirit was being pierced with needles. This was a memory of the Storm Lord-Bachard, and even it dared only a glimpse.
—"Mother of Demons—Cang Ye [Obelis Demon Lord]!"
The indigenous king fell.
Soon, the surging Obelis demons slaughtered all the indigenous inhabitants of this plane, committing genocide. They used the Law Power they mastered to pollute this plane, extracting the souls of the natives to shape them into Prayers, slowly dragging the entire plane inch by inch toward the lower levels, closer to the gap of chaos, nearing the true void.
As the main force against the indigenous, the Wind Demon King-Pazuzu was given full authority to select the territory first. This clever Obelis Demon Lord chose the uppermost layer, the place closest to the heavens.
Very unfortunate.
The Storm Lord-Bachard was not the most powerful Obelis Demon, so when it was its turn, it could only choose from the remaining places.
Time flew by rapidly.
This plane was undergoing drastic changes because it was getting closer and closer to the lower space, being pulled by the power of chaos, as if a flat surface was being stretched into an inverted pyramid. The closer to the base, the more terrifyingly and extremely reshaped by chaos it became.
The Obelis Demon Lords created a large number of Abyss Prayers, but these Prayers were unsatisfactory, as they were too weak and too ignorant. These Abyss Prayers weren't even qualified to be tools.
Su Ziyu also became immersed in a new round of the Storm Lord-Bachard's memories, reconstructing one of the layers in the Bottomless Abyss.
By this time, the Bottomless Abyss was almost taking shape.
The power of chaos had already infiltrated this land, with all the Obelis Demon Lords reshaping every Law of this plane from their respective layers. The Storm Lord-Bachard planned to take thirty years to reconstruct the sky of its layer, wanting this layer to be forever surrounded by lightning and hurricanes, solidifying the Laws of this plane.
Su Ziyu's analysis progress of the Storm Domain accelerated several times over as he fully observed the complete reconstruction process of this plane by the Storm Lord-Bachard from an observer's perspective.
Su Ziyu even watched how Bachard created new demons, playing with the souls of those indigenous inhabitants, creating a new type of winged demon. Unfortunately, these were failures, quickly discarded by Bachard.
The Obelis Demon Lords needed a large number of slaves.
They are the second generation of demons born with immense power, but like any primordial race, the birth of Obelis demons was not easy, and their numbers couldn't suffice to dominate the entire Bottomless Abyss. Hence, they needed new slaves, preferably powerful ones, with good potential, intelligence, and extreme evil.
Just as the Obelis demons were constantly searching for souls, altering genes, and injecting Demon's Blood, attempting to create the finest slaves, their homeland was suddenly stolen one day.
A group of blood-stained Fallen Angels descended from Heaven!
They directly crushed the Obelis demons of the upper layers of the Bottomless Abyss, slicing the entire Bottomless Abyss in a cruel and domineering manner.
Under the leadership of a certain entity, these Fallen Angels cut off a large chunk of the Plane from the Bottomless Abyss.
Regarding this part of the memory, Storm Lord-Bachard knew very little and had only a vague impression because His territory was deep in the Bottomless Abyss. By the time He learned of the news, the upper-level Obelis demons had already been massacred, with only the Wind Demon King-Pazuzu surviving.
The Fallen Angel Legion used some kind of tremendous force to sever the original Bottomless Abyss, brutally taking nine layers of it and shaping them into what is now known as Bator Hell.
Parts of the shattered land were then corroded and polluted by different forces, transforming into territories like the Scorching Flame Hell, perpetually shrouded in fire, and the Gray Bone Wilderness, engulfed by Death—these were fragments of Planes, resembling shattered continents, with isolated lands drifting as islands in the Lower Plane.
The appearance of the Fallen Angel Legion deeply stung the Obelis demon lords. They began frantically seeking new souls, trying to create a terrifying slave legion to reclaim everything.
Thus, all sorts of strange third-generation demons were born.
But they were all failures.
Without exception.
None of the newly created demons could satisfy the Obelis demons of the second generation. The souls of the original inhabitants of the Bottomless Abyss simply couldn't meet their needs because these souls were too singular.
Time passed by bit by bit.
At some point, the Power of Death flowed into this filthy and evil Lower Plane along the Nether River, and soon, some new souls arrived here. Their arrival delighted the Obelis demons, for these changeable souls possessed unparalleled passion and desire. Among them, the fallen ones were so evil that they even surprised the Obelis demons, and their endless desires and emotions were more intense than those of the second-generation demons.
Human souls descended.
At the end of the era of the Ancient Gods, humans were born in this Crystal Wall Element.
Their souls drifted along the Nether River into the Lower Plane, captured by the powerful Obelis demon lords. These Obelis demon lords delightedly reshaped these human souls, extracting their desires and ambitions, injecting them into their own blood and Power, and even incorporating the genes of other creatures, using the Chaos Power of the Bottomless Abyss to reshape their bodies.
Thus.
The third generation of Tanali demons was born.
They were the most powerful slaves of the Obelis demon lords, filled with ambition, desire, and Power. They proliferated at an astonishing rate, like locusts, rapidly growing, devouring each other, and evolving, and among them, the most powerful became the original "Demon Prince"!
The Bottomless Abyss grew strong at an astonishing speed, but soon the Obelis demon lords discovered a terrifying crisis was coming.
They gradually lost control over the third-generation Tanali demons.
All the evil traits of human souls were perfectly inherited and amplified by the third-generation Tanali demons. They were changeable and filled with ambition, insidious and treacherous, and after initial subservience, the Tanali demons that evolved by devouring each other gradually became dissatisfied with the rule of the Obelis demons. They began to rebel, and at an astonishing speed, swept through the entire Bottomless Abyss!
Like a swarm of locusts, they spread, and no amount of cruel rule and suppression could stop the wave of Tanali demon rebellion. Incalculable Tanali demons turned their blades against the Obelis demon lords who once created them, one after another falling.
And unfortunately, Storm Lord-Bachard was one of them.
Su Ziyu's gaze turned to the last cloud of memory, which was dim, filled with the unwillingness of Death—it was the end of Storm Lord-Bachard's life, as well as the most brilliant light in His memory.
For it was the last ripple of memory He left behind, the final cry of His unwilling spirit!
The era belonging to the third-generation Tanali demons had arrived.
Those discarded Obelis demon lords, like Bachard, were swept directly into the trash heap of history.
