The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter

Chapter 167: UNDEAD LEGION RISES

The undead army continued charging forward.

Even with their enhanced strength, the endless wave of monsters was pushing them to their limits.

The battlefield had become a nightmare.

Monsters filled every street.

Tokyo.

Chiba.

Osaka.

Kyoto.

Everywhere.

The portals continued releasing creatures, and the sheer number of enemies was overwhelming.

Hunters fought desperately, but the tide kept pushing them back.

Some monsters tore through the undead, biting and crushing their bones as they advanced.

Even high ranking hunters were struggling.

"This is impossible..."

"There are too many!"

The hunters were slowly being forced into retreat.

They weren’t losing because they lacked strength.

They were losing because the enemy never stopped coming.

Then

A new presence emerged from Raito’s Hunter Domain.

A figure stepped through the portal.

An undead lich.

It wore a dark robe, carrying a staff in its hand.

Unlike the other undead, it didn’t charge into battle.

It simply looked around.

Then it raised its head.

Raito immediately noticed.

His vision shifted.

Through his connection, he saw the undead lich.

"Good."

Raito’s voice echoed through the connection.

"I’m sharing my vision with you."

"See everything happening across Japan."

"Take control of the undead army."

The undead lich lowered its head.

It understood.

Then

It raised its staff.

Instantly.

Every undead across Japan stopped moving.

The battlefield froze.

Hunters stared in confusion.

"What happened?"

"Why did the undead stop?"

Then

The undead collapsed.

Their bodies fell apart.

Bones scattered across the streets.

Thousands upon thousands of undead soldiers turned into piles of bones.

The civilians watching from the emergency shelters froze.

The hunters watching through drones froze.

Everyone thought the undead army had been defeated.

But then

The bones began moving.

They lifted into the air.

They twisted.

They merged.

Slowly, a massive figure began forming.

A giant undead warrior.

A mountain of bones.

Its body towered over the battlefield.

Its enormous hands were large enough to crush buildings.

The entire city shook as it stood.

Even the S rank hunters who had been retreating stopped.

"What... is that?"

The drone cameras captured everything.

Every survivor watching the broadcast saw it.

They saw Raito standing beside the undead lich.

They saw him controlling an army.

And they realized

The undead were not retreating.

They were evolving.

Raito looked toward the battlefield.

"This is the main attack point in Tokyo."

He looked at the surrounding hunters.

"The other areas are being attacked as well."

"Don’t chase the monsters."

"Stay here."

"Anything that escapes this area..."

"Take it down."

The hunters were silent.

They looked at the massive undead creature.

Then they looked at Raito.

Finally

They nodded.

"Understood."

The giant undead moved.

It raised one enormous foot.

Then

BOOM!

The ground shattered.

The impact shook nearby buildings.

Windows cracked.

The streets trembled.

The giant undead stepped forward.

It looked down at the endless army of monsters.

Then it raised its massive hand.

And slammed it down.

BOOOOM!

The shockwave spread across the battlefield.

Hundreds of monsters were crushed instantly.

The ground collapsed beneath them.

The undead giant raised its hand again.

And again.

And again.

Each strike created a disaster.

The monsters that had forced hundreds of hunters into retreat were being pushed back by a single undead creation.

Everyone watching could only stare.

Blood splattered across the battlefield.

Countless monsters were crushed beneath the giant undead’s attacks, their bodies destroyed as the impact sent blood and debris flying onto nearby buildings.

The surrounding structures could no longer withstand the destruction.

Cracks spread across the walls.

Then

BOOM!

Several buildings began collapsing, falling apart from the shockwaves created by the massive undead creature.

The battlefield had turned into a disaster zone.

But the monsters did not stop.

From the portals, more creatures emerged.

Hundreds of Minotaurs charged forward at the same time, their massive bodies pushing through the destruction.

Among them were powerful Orc warriors carrying enormous axes.

They roared as they advanced.

Behind them, goblins appeared.

Unlike the others, they stayed back.

One goblin holding a staff stepped forward.

It raised its staff toward the giant undead core.

Meanwhile, Raito remained focused.

His eyes were closed as he shared his vision with the undead lich.

He watched everything happening across Japan.

Every battle.

Every movement.

The undead army continued fighting.

Then

A group of wolf like monsters charged forward again.

They moved faster than before, leading the attack.

The giant undead looked down at them.

Slowly

It raised both of its massive hands.

The ground trembled.

Then sharp bones erupted from its palms.

Countless bone spikes shot forward.

Piercing.

Crushing.

Destroying.

Hundreds of wolf like monsters were instantly impaled, their bodies hanging on the giant spikes before collapsing to the ground.

But then

The goblin with the staff finished its spell.

A massive fireball formed above its staff.

The heat distorted the air around it.

It launched forward.

Straight toward the giant undead.

BOOM!

The fireball collided directly with the core of the giant undead.

For a moment, everything went silent.

Then

CRACK.

The core shattered.

The massive undead body began breaking apart.

Its enormous frame collapsed as countless bones fell from the sky like rain.

BOOOOM!

The giant undead crashed into the battlefield, creating a massive impact that shook the surrounding area.

The hunters watching froze.

The weapon that had pushed back thousands of monsters had been destroyed.

But before they could even react

The monsters charged.

The battlefield erupted again.

Orcs roared as they rushed forward with their massive axes.

Minotaurs charged with terrifying force, their heavy footsteps shaking the ground.

The dungeon portals erupted again.

This time

It wasn’t a wave.

It was a flood.

A massive number of humanoid monsters poured out at incredible speed, filling the streets within seconds.

They rushed forward like a tide.

The undead lich immediately reacted.

Using the bones scattered across the battlefield, it formed more undead soldiers.

The newly created undead charged forward.

They clashed with the incoming monsters.

A humanoid monster swung its sword toward an undead warrior.

The blade came down with enough force to split its body.
