I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law

Chapter 172: LUCK & DIVINE POWER

"YOUR HUSBAND isn’t coming with you?"

"There was an emergency," Yun Dujun answered Song Sihyuk’s question as calmly as he could, even though it was hard for him to stay calm at the moment. He then showed his phone to the older Alpha. "Someone doxxed my children on the internet."

Pictures of Yun Yuhyun and An Baekya were circulating on the internet at the moment.

The bastard who uploaded the pictures didn’t blur the kids’ faces.

He already asked his older brother to delete the pictures from the internet, but the pictures went viral instantly. Hence, it was almost impossible to completely erase them from the internet. After all, it wouldn’t be easy to do that.

But, at least, the big accounts that gathered hundreds of thousands of likes and views are already gone.

"We were also ambushed at my kids’ school this morning," Yun Dujun explained. "Yuhyun was traumatized by what happened and wouldn’t stop crying, so Wonyoung decided to stay at home."

"So, your husband stayed to console your biological son?"

"You can refer to Yuhyun as our youngest, while Baekya is our oldest."

"If I remember."

Yun Dujun just sighed and shook his head. "Anyway, Baekya will be coming with us instead of my husband. But I have no intention of bringing my child to Lee Heeju’s island. Can I leave him in your care?"

"Sure," Song Sihyuk said casually. "It’s a good thing that I sent my son to my island in advance. Your son won’t be bored."

"But why would you involve your son in this dangerous situation?"

"It’s not dangerous for us since I know for a fact that Lee Heeju has no guts to attack the SG Group," Song Sihyuk said, scoffing. "Plus, the private island that I own is an island with only the current chairman and his heir have access to. Since Gunwoo is my one and only son, so I want to show him the things that we’ll inherit someday."

"Your son is only 12."

"He is already 12. He’ll be moving to the U.S after he finishes elementary school. There, he’ll start his proper training as my heir."

Yun Dujun thought it was too early for a child to learn how to run a company.

But, then again, I’m not a chaebol. So, I don’t know how exactly they function.

He did remember that Lee Heeju started learning about his family business when they were in high school.

Lee Heeju isn’t the heir, though.

"Yun Dujun, your family isn’t chaebol."

"Yes, we’re not chaebols."

"But you have a shaman."

"A fraud, I believe."

"Your old shaman might be doing stupid things right now, but there’s a reason your father’s company grew as big as it is now. Sure, your family and the people working for you must have worked hard. But the level of success that you’ve reached, despite not having the generational wealth that chaebols have, couldn’t be achieved with mere hard work. Divine luck must have come to play," Song Sihyuk explained. "The top shamans in this country are also reliable fortune tellers. They can make or break billions through the stock exchange with just one prediction."

"Are you implying that Shaman Ahra helped our family that way?"

"That’s exactly what I’m saying. Why do you think the chaebols are still on top despite all the controversies around us? It’s because we have unlimited access to luck and wealth that our shamans provide."

"I wouldn’t know because I’m not involved in my family business. After all, I’m an illegitimate child."

"You have to get rid of that mindset, Yun Dujun," Song Sihyuk said, scoffing. "You and your husband were the people who gave birth to the child chosen by the deity overseeing your family. Yun Yuhyun is the existence that will continue to bring luck and wealth to your clan. That’s why your child is special. Didn’t your shaman explain that to you?"

"I wasn’t interested."

"Well, I was like that before, too. I didn’t care until our new shaman started giving me predictions that helped our company grow under my leadership. Then I started taking it seriously for the sake of my wife and child."

"I’m an actor, so..."

"Aigooya." Song Sihyuk shook his head. "Don’t be small-minded, kid. I did say that the legit shamans in our country help corporations grow, but I didn’t say that it’s all they could do. For example, you can ask your shaman to check the scripts that you receive. They can tell you which one would succeed and which ones would fail."

Oh.

That didn’t cross Yun Dujun’s mind since he didn’t need it.

"Sure, you’ve been fine without that kind of advice since you’ve reached the top of the industry without the help of your family’s shaman," Song Sihyuk said as if he could read Yun Dujun’s mind. "But aren’t your husband and foster son into acting as well? You might not need help because you’re already an established actor. Can you say the same to them, though?"

Yun Dujun let out a sigh. "You have a silver tongue, Sihyuk-ssi."

"Thanks. And, oh, it’s our shaman who asked me to give you that advice. Mija said it’s frustrating to see you and Bae Wonyoung not using your privileges properly."

"Your shaman cares too much about my family."

"While Mija has a soft spot for kids, don’t be mistaken— shamans work for themselves. Yes, they serve our family. But only because doing so gives them what they want."

"What do shamans want then?"

"Luck and divine power," Song Sihyuk said in a serious voice. "There are shamans who will kill just to get them."

Kill...?

Yun Dujun suddenly got a bad feeling.

***

"ALRIGHT, Mingi-ya. I understand. Give me time— I’ll come and rescue you right away."

That was what Wonyoung told Sung Mingi, Bae Gayoung’s boyfriend, who called him asking for help.

But that didn’t mean he would dive into immediate danger.

First, he called the person in charge of Bae Gayoung’s security in the hospital.

"Oppa, I wasn’t kidnapped. I’m safe here in the hospital. The ahjussis guarding me have never left me alone completely. And the bodyguard unnies accompany me in the bathroom. So, I’m completely safe here."

Wonyoung was relieved to hear that.

But...

"If Mingi Oppa has my stolen phone, does it mean he’s in danger?"

"I’ll take care of it, Gayoung-ah. Just rest there and don’t worry too much."

"But I don’t want you to get in danger, Oppa..."

"I won’t be in danger, Gayoung-ah," Wonyoung assured his younger cousin. "I’m not doing this alone, after all."

***

"YUNCHAE NOONA, we’re gonna have a pajama party?"

"Yes, Yuhyun-ah. It’s the weekend tomorrow, so I’m sleeping over."

"Yehey!"

Wonyoung smiled while watching Yun Yuhyun and Yun Yunchae hold hands while walking upstairs where the playroom was.

And then he faced the people who immediately came after he called.

Han Hyunjin, his Omega father-in-law.

Kang Chaein, his sister-in-law.

"Appa, Sister-in-law, sorry for calling you on such short notice," Wonyoung said politely. "But thank you for coming."

"Your father-in-law and brother-in-law are at work, but you can rely on us, Wonyoung-ah," Han Hyunjin said. "Tell us how we can help you."
