I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law

Chapter 61: MANAGER DUTIES

"HOOBAE-NIM, did you check the filming site? How was it?"

"It’s amazing, Sunbae-nim. This is my first time seeing an action scene being filmed," Wonyoung said, his face beaming. "Oh, I got everyone coffee."

He got coffee for Yun Dujun, Spencer Choi, and Nana— the stylist who was the same age as Wonyoung.

They picked up Nana earlier before heading to the site.

Usually, Yun Dujun had a team of hair and makeup stylists accompanying him. But the Alpha would only film a short scene, so they only brought the main stylist for today.

That was how I met Nana, and we got along right off the bat since we’re the same age.

After they arrived at the filming location, the staff immediately ushered them to the tent that was made to be Yun Dujun’s dressing room.

It’s a warehouse, so they needed tents to create make-shift rooms for the actors.

"Thank you, Wonyoung-ah," Nana said after receiving the coffee from Wonyoung. "Did you see Actor Seo Cheolmin? He’s handsome, isn’t he?"

Seo Cheolmin was the main lead of the series that the crew was filming there.

He’s a sunbae to Dujun Sunbae-nim, and he’s been a famous actor even before I got into an accident. So, yes, I know him.

"I only saw a glimpse of Actor Seo Cheolmin, but even his profile looks amazing," Wonyoung said. And, yes, he was fanboying. Aside from the fact that Seo Cheolmin was a good actor, he was also a very handsome Alpha. "Plus, he’s so fit."

"Right?" Nana agreed, giggling. "Actor Seo Cheolmin is so my type! How about you, Wonyoung?"

"Well, I think the age gap between us is a little big. So, I can’t really see myself lusting after an ahjussi in that way."

Nana burst out laughing.

"I’m hurt, Wonyoung-ssi. Actor Seo Cheolmin is the same age as me," Spencer Choi complained lightly. "Do you have something against ’ahjussis?’"

Spencer Choi was obviously just joking, so Wonyoung could laugh it off and answer lightly. "It’s just my preference, Daepyonim."

A three- or four-year gap should be fine for me, though.

"Stop teasing my hoobae, Daepyonim," Yun Dujun scolded Spencer Choi, and then he quickly changed the topic. "Have you contacted the catering service? I don’t want people to think that I came empty-handed."

"Even if you came empty-handed, the director and your fellow actors would still applaud you just for showing up," Spencer Choi said while fidgeting with his phone, probably to contact the catering service. "My precious Dujunnie, do you know how much you’re paid for a single episode? And, yet, you’re appearing in a cameo for free out of your loyalty to the director."

Yep, Yun Dujun was only there to film his cameo role.

"Director Gong Joonho was the director of my first noir film. He’s the one who helped me become a 10-million actor in just my 2nd year as an actor, so I owe him this much," Yun Dujun said, standing up. "Let’s go and greet the director."

Woah.

Wonyoung looked up at Yun Dujun and admired the Alpha blatantly.

Sunbae-nim looks extra hot with all the fake cuts on his face.

Yun Dujun’s hair was also a mess, and so was the suit he was wearing. Even the collars had fake blood in them.

The Alpha’s character was so different from the usually neat Yun Dujun.

But that only makes Sunbae-nim hotter...

"Why are you staring, Hoobae-nim?" Yun Dujun asked teasingly. "Have you recognized the character I’m playing today?"

"No, I just thought you’re extra hot today, Sunbae-nim."

Wonyoung only realized that he said that out loud when Spencer Choi and Nana both laughed.

Ah, dammit.

I’m such a sucker for Sunbae-nim’s face and sexiness...

"So, I guess a four-year age gap doesn’t matter to you, Wonyoung-ssi."

Wonyoung just ignored Spencer Choi’s teasing.

"I’m playing Sung Hyeon’s role today, Hoobae-nim."

Wonyoung gasped when he recognized the character.

After all, it was one of his favorite characters that Yun Dujun had played.

’Sung Hyeon’ was the main character in the play called ’Suspicious Classmate.’ He was a cheerful and ’dumb’ high school senior who was actually a secret spy from North Korea. The character’s mission was to kidnap the grandson of the President attending the same school.

It was a lighthearted play with an angsty ending.

Yun Dujun’s character died because he chose to save his target instead of handing him over to North Korea.

"Is this drama related to Suspicious Classmate, Sunbae-nim?"

"I suppose you haven’t seen all my previous series yet," Yun Dujun said while patting Wonyoung’s head. "Suspicious Classmate was turned into a drama, and I reprised my role as Sung Hyeon."

"Oh, I’ve been binge-watching your old series, Sunbae-nim. But I haven’t seen Suspicious Classmate yet," Wonyoung said, and then he grinned before asking teasingly: "How old were you when you played a high school student, Sunbae-nim?"

"Let’s not talk about that, Hoobae-nim."

"Well, I can just look it up."

"Why do that when I’m here? I’ll tell you later," Yun Dujun said, casually wrapping an arm around Wonyoung’s shoulder. "Come— I’ll introduce you to Director Gong."

***

WOAH, it’s really Director Gong in the flesh.

Wonyoung was fanboying inside.

He may appear calm, but he was actually really excited.

Director Gong is a legendary director in South Korea. People around my age have at least seen one of his films growing up.

"I can’t thank you enough for appearing as a cameo in my new show, Dujun-ssi," Director Gong Joonho said while patting Yun Dujun’s shoulder. "It’s my first series in ten years, so I’m quite nervous."

Right.

Director Gong Joonho had been producing films for years.

It’s his comeback on the small screen.

"I’m sure you and your new show will do well, Director Gong," Yun Dujun said politely. "Moreover, you have Cheolmin Sunbae-nim as your star actor."

"Ah, you’re making me shy, Dujun-ah," Seo Cheolmin said, laughing softly. "But I’m glad you’re here to support us. Thank you, my dear hoobae."

Aww.

Wonyoung smiled because it was nice to see two top actors being genuinely nice to each other.

Plus, it seems like Actor Seo Cheolmin looks like a good person.

And, upon looking closely, Seo Cheolmin was really handsome.

He doesn’t even look like he’s already in his mid-thirties.

"By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask... is he a fellow actor?"

Oh.

Wonyoung was pretty flustered when, all of a sudden, the three big shots were looking at him: Director Gong Joonho, Seo Cheolmin, and Yun Dujun.

That got him more nervous, but he didn’t forget his manners.

He bowed his head and greeted everyone politely.

"Hello, good sirs. My name is Bae Wonyoung. I’m Dujun Sunbae-nim’s manager."

"Temporary manager," Yun Dujun corrected Wonyoung, and then the Alpha placed a hand on the small of Wonyoung’s back. "This is my hoobae from my theatre club in college. Wonyoung is also a theatre actor like me. Unfortunately, he had gone into a coma due to an accident."

Huh?

Wonyoung was surprised when Yun Dujun mentioned his accident.

But he actually didn’t mind, so he just nodded politely.

"Wonyoung just woke up recently. I want to help him until he fully recovers, so I asked him to be my temporary manager. My hoobae is curious about how the entertainment industry works these days, after all."

Woah.

Dujun Sunbae-nim talked a lot.

It was a rare occurrence.

No wonder both Director Gong Joonho and Seo Cheolmin looked surprised.

"I see," Director Gong Joonho said, then he smiled and extended his hand to Wonyoung. "It’s nice to meet you, Wonyoung-ssi."

Woah!

Wonyoung almost fainted out of sheer excitement, but he at least looked calm while shaking the hand of the legendary director.

I will not wash my hands for at least three days.

"WONYOUNG-SSI, the catering service is here. Can you ask them to wait for a moment? They’ll be shooting Yun Dujun’s scene soon, so we can’t make noise."

Aww.

Wonyoung actually wanted to watch Yun Dujun’s action scene.

But he was there as a manager, so he had to do his job.

"I got it, Daepyonim," Wonyoung said. "But can you take a video of Dujun Sunbae-nim’s scene? I wanna watch it later."

"Sure," Spencer Choi said. "I’ll take care of it."

Wonyoung bowed his head and left the filming location.

Fortunately, he immediately saw the catering service who came with food trucks.

He talked to the boss in-charge to let them know to wait for a few minutes before they could enter the site.

After that, he was about to return inside the warehouse.

However...

"You’re Actor Yun Dujun-ssi’s manager, aren’t you?"

Wonyoung was surprised when a pretty huge man blocked his way.

I know prejudice is a bad thing, but this dude looks and acts like a thug.

But the person was also wearing a staff ID, so he couldn’t be a trespasser.

"Yes, I’m Actor Yun Dujun-ssi’s manager," Wonyoung answered politely. He didn’t want people to think that Yun Dujun’s manager was rude, after all. "What can I do for you, sir?"

"Hand this over to your boss," the rude thug-like person said while holding a paper bag. "This is from Actress Jo Inha."

Wonyoung raised an eyebrow.

That paper bag was oozing with an Omega’s pheromones.

And this dude wants me to give it to Dujun Sunbae-nim?

"No," Wonyoung said firmly. "As Actor Yun Dujun-ssi’s manager, I refuse to accept that gift on behalf of my boss."

And that was how the ’chaos’ unfolded.
