Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 524: This Place Feels Like Hell

The grand faction leaders didn’t delay. At Sianor’s command, all of them boarded their own flying ship without hesitation.

The journey didn’t take long. Using full power from the start, they crossed the distance in just a day.

The moment they arrived, everyone froze.

"What the hell is this?"

The area where they were supposed to meet was saturated with dense demonic energy.

It hung in the air like a heavy fog, pressing down on them and making it hard to breathe.

Sianor and Sorien had already known about the demonic energy, but even they hadn’t expected it to be this intense.

Rachel frowned slightly, tightening her hold on Giselle as if to steady both of them."This is worse than I expected..."

Beside her, Dahlia shook her head, eyes scanning the surroundings.

"This... to think the concentration has reached the same level as the Demon World..."

Arden adjusted his glasses, his gaze sharpening as he analyzed the atmosphere.

"Yeah. It’s the same level," he said quietly. "But how is that possible? This isn’t the Demon World."

A brief silence followed. No one had an immediate answer.

Then, almost at the same time, they all looked down.

Below them stretched a massive field that had been completely cleared, as if prepared long in advance.

The ground was bare, marked with faint traces of formation lines and disturbed soil.

It was obvious now. This had been planned from the very beginning.

But what truly caught every leader’s attention was the portal not far from the center of the area.

It wasn’t large. In fact, it looked deceptively small.

Yet the aura pouring out of it was overwhelming.

Arden narrowed his eyes, then sighed as realization set in.

"I see... so that’s why the concentration is so thick," he murmured.

Dahlia crossed her arms, her brows knitting together.

"Yeah, but how can a demon gate do this?" she asked, her tone uneasy.

"Even the Demon Gate our master destroyed before couldn’t affect our island like this."

Rachel frowned, her gaze fixed on the swirling energy.

"It seems that gate is the reason they challenged us in the first place," she said quietly.

She glanced at Dahlia, Arden, and the others, her grip on Giselle tightening again.

"Be careful. We don’t know what might happen from here."

Dahlia smirked, cracking her knuckles as if warming up.

"Don’t worry too much," she said with a confident shrug.

"I’ve fought in the Demon World before. This kind of energy doesn’t bother me much."

Arden frowned and adjusted his glasses, clearly less comfortable.

"That may be true, but my nature mana doesn’t match well with demonic energy," he admitted. "I’ll leave this to you, sis."

Dahlia waved him off casually. "Yeah, yeah. Just leave it to me, Arden."

Valtor let out a loud laugh, slapping his thigh. "Hahaha! Arden, don’t worry. I’ll protect you too."

Seira gave a short nod. "Yeah. Don’t worry. We’re still here."

Mersha leaned in with a grin, clearly enjoying the moment.

"Then how about this, brother Arden?" she teased. "Want an elixir to offset the demonic mana?"

Arden immediately frowned, taking a small step back. "No, please, Mersha. I’ll just rest and recover on my own."

Mersha pouted, crossing her arms. "You’re no fun. I even made a new formula for this."

Dahlia snorted, unable to hold back a laugh. "Yeah, and that’s exactly why he said no."

Rachel let out a quiet sigh, glancing at all of them. "Just don’t get careless."

---

All the grand leaders’ flying ships finally landed.

A moment later, Pelion appeared from the back, brushing dust off his coat. "Wow, that was fast. I just got here myself."

Sianor stepped forward. "Of course you came to us first, saying you’d be ready whenever we were. So we came right away."

Pelion chuckled. "Fair enough."

Then, without warning, another person appeared in front of them.

Pelion looked up and smirked. "Ooooh, Chimera Lord, I’m back. Look who’s here."

The Chimera Lord, Heinkel, glanced over Sianor and the others, a faint smirk forming on his lips.

"Welcome, grand leaders of the great factions. Seeing all of you here, I’ll assume you accepted the offer."

Sianor and the others frowned as they saw Heinkel for the first time.

Sianor stepped forward, her gaze steady. "We did. But tell me this... will you really accept defeat if you lose?"

Heinkel blinked once, then his smile widened. "Of course I will. Sianor... you and the other two came from the same place, didn’t you?"

Sianor, along with the other otherworlders, Clark and Floren, remained silent.

Heinkel continued, shrugging lightly. "You already know this, but I’m not the same kind of villain in this world. I’m more like the ones from the movies we used to watch."

He tilted his head, almost amused. "The villains I think are cool always keep their word. That’s what makes them strong. Besides... I’m not really a villain."

Sianor spoke again, her voice firm. "Don’t lie. Your members have already killed people."

She briefly glanced at Pelion.

Heinkel followed her gaze. "Ah... yeah, about that..."

He shrugged. "Some people are just too weak. You don’t call someone a villain for stepping on ants, right?"

Sianor’s expression hardened. "You can’t compare it like that."

Heinkel laughed and waved a hand. "Oh, come on, don’t be like that."

He raised a finger. "Even though I’m the leader of Black Chimera, the only members I truly consider mine are the Chimera Generals."

He spread his arms wide. "As for the rest, just think of them as extras. I don’t really care about them."

He paused, then added, "And despite how many innocents have died, do you know how many evil factions I’ve wiped out?"

He smirked. "Probably not. But it’s a lot. So you can think of me not as a villain... but as a dark hero."

He spread his hands slightly. "As for world peace, it’s fine to use anything to achieve it."

Sianor and the others frowned, unease settling over them.

They hadn’t expected this bastard to be such a full-blown chunibyo.
