Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 501: This Reward Makes No Sense

A week had passed.

Garion was now sitting at the edge of the bed, stretching his arms once before rolling his shoulders slowly.

Behind him, Rachel leaned slightly against the headboard, watching him in silence.

Her eyes traced his movements, and a small, satisfied smirk formed on her lips. "Garion..."

Garion glanced back at her, relaxed. "Yeah?"

Rachel tilted her head, her expression amused but soft. "You really did train properly, didn’t you...? To think you can actually keep up with me for a whole week..."

She pushed herself up a little, her cheeks faintly flushed. "...and you don’t even look tired at all."

Garion smirked, turning his body slightly toward her. "Of course. I told you, didn’t I? I’ve been training for this moment."

Rachel crossed her arms, but the smile on her face only grew. "Clearly."

Garion let out a quiet breath, then turned fully to face her.

His gaze softened for a moment before he spoke again. "Alright... now that I’ve satisfied you..."

He paused just slightly, his tone shifting back to his usual calm confidence. "...it’s time to get back to work."

Rachel’s expression changed immediately. The playful warmth faded into something more focused, more serious. "...Is that so?"

Garion nodded without hesitation. "Yeah. The war is coming. We can’t stay like this for too long."

His eyes met hers directly. "You need to train the disciples. Harder than before."

Rachel swung her legs off the bed and stood up smoothly.

Her posture straightened, her presence shifting back into that lovely, reliable elder everyone depended on. "Alright... Garion. I’ll make sure they train even harder."

She adjusted her sleeves, already preparing herself mentally.

"And Dahlia..." she added, letting out a small breath. "I don’t want her picking fights with me again."

Garion chuckled lightly, leaning back slightly with a relaxed look. "Sounds about right. We’ve been ignoring her for a whole week."

Rachel shook her head once, a faint, knowing smile on her lips. "Don’t worry. She’s still a child in some ways."

She glanced toward the door. "I’ll deal with her."

She stepped forward, but just as her hand reached the door, she paused.

Then she turned her head slightly, looking back at him. "And you?"

Her eyes narrowed just a little, teasing returning to her voice. "Are you going to laze around while I’m working?"

Garion chuckled, shaking his head. "Of course not, my love."

He leaned forward slightly, resting his arms on his knees. "Like I told you... I’m going to create the Fourth Realm method."

His gaze sharpened just a bit, but his tone remained calm. "So just focus on your side. Train them properly."

Rachel looked at him quietly for a moment. Then, slowly, her expression softened again. "...Alright then."

A gentle smile spread across her face. "Make sure you finish it as soon as possible, okay?"

She lifted her hand and sent him a playful kiss through the air. "And remember... your wife will give you a lot more after the war ends."

Garion raised his hand and caught the gesture mid-air, his smirk returning, softer this time. "Of course, my love."

His eyes lingered on her just a second longer than usual. "I’ll make sure it’s worth the wait."

---

Garion stood alone in his room. He crossed his arms and looked upward. "Atlas..."

No response.

Garion clicked his tongue once. "Don’t make me call you twice..."

A short pause passed. Then the familiar voice appeared.

[I’m here. What do you want?]

Garion smirked faintly, still standing there with his arms crossed. "Of course... my reward. I completed the mission you gave me."

[Reward? What reward?]

Garion slowly raised a brow. "Don’t act like you forgot."

He leaned back slightly, his tone calm but clearly unimpressed. "You’re the one who gave me the mission... to marry Rachel."

[Oh... right. I forgot.]

Garion stared upward in silence for a second. "...You forgot?"

[Give me a moment. Let me check.]

Garion exhaled through his nose, tapping his arm lightly. "...Unbelievable."

A few seconds passed. Then Atlas spoke again.

[Found it. Your reward has already been given.]

Garion’s eyes narrowed. "Already? What do you mean by that? I don’t remember receiving anything."

[You didn’t receive it. It was activated.]

Garion frowned. "...Stop being vague."

He uncrossed his arms and looked up more directly. "Just tell me what it is."

[Alright. Your reward is...]

Garion frowned deeper. "...Don’t drag it."

[Okay, okay... Your reward is a 100% chance of conception.]

Silence.

Garion blinked once. "...What?"

His brow lifted slightly. "What kind of reward is that?"

A second passed.

Then his expression shifted as something clicked. "...Don’t tell me..."

[You’re correct. Rachel is already pregnant.]

Garion froze. "...The hell?"

He stared forward, processing it slowly. "...You’re serious?"

[Yes.]

Garion ran a hand through his hair, still trying to catch up. "...That’s the reward?"

[Correct.]

He stood there for a moment, frowning, his thoughts turning.

Atlas continued, his tone as flat as ever.

[For people at a high level, reproduction becomes increasingly difficult. The stronger you are, the lower the natural probability of conception.]

Garion paused. "...I didn’t know that."

[Of course you didn’t. You’ve only been in this world for a little over two years.]

Garion lowered his hand, thinking it through. "...So this guarantees it."

[Yes. Which is why many powerful individuals become extremely protective of their offspring.]

A brief pause.

[Even if those offspring are stupid and like to cause trouble.]

Garion sighed softly. "I see... no wonder those sect leaders go crazy when someone touches their children."

[Now you understand.]

Garion shook his head slightly, still processing everything. "...But still... couldn’t you tell me before it activated?"

A short pause.

[Oh... sorry about that. I forgot.]

Garion closed his eyes for a moment, then let out a long breath. "...You... damn it."

[Oh, come on... this reward is good. Rachel will definitely love it.]

Garion opened his eyes, his expression flat. "Just shut up."

His tone turned more serious. "This isn’t the time. A bad war is coming."

[Our host here is strong, isn’t he? You’ll definitely be able to win this war.]

Garion stood there quietly for a second, then sighed again, longer this time. "...Yeah. I know."

He looked forward, his eyes steady now. "Still... god damn it."
