Chapter 155: [153] Exercising Before The Big Spin!
The next morning, Levi woke before dawn. His internal clock, honed by six months of survival in the Hellfrozen Abyss, pulled him from sleep at exactly 5 AM. He had grown to wake up early as sleeping too much would definitely get you killed in the abyss.
It was definitely how he killed a Level 5 FiendWarrior easily.
Luna was still curled up beside him, but the golden wyvern wa more comfortable in his Beast Spatial Ring during the night.
Levi sat up, rolling his shoulders and neck. He felt restless. Six months of constant movement, vigilance, intense combat had changed him. So Lying still for eight hours felt kind of wrong to him.
He stood and walked quietly toward his apartment's private training room, one of the perks of Elite Class housing.
It wasn't much compared to the academy's main training facilities, but it was private. And right now, privacy was exactly what Levi needed.
He changed into simple training clothes, loose pants and a sleeveless shirt, and stood in the center of the empty room. Then he dropped to the floor and began his daily set of exercises.
Push-ups.
One. Two. Three. His form was perfect, body rigid as a plank, arms extending and contracting. Ten. Twenty. Fifty. The burn didn't start at first until he reached 100.
One hundred. Two hundred. His breathing remained steady. In through the nose, out through the mouth, maintaining the rhythm that kept oxygen flowing to his muscles.
Five hundred. The burn intensified, spreading through his chest and triceps. Sweat began forming on his forehead, dripping onto the training room floor.
One thousand. His arms trembled slightly now. But Levi's expression remained flat, emotionless. It was as though the pain was nothing to him as he continued his push ups.
