Chapter 138: [136] Meeting The Elders!
Time seemed to compress. What should have taken weeks of careful recuperation was happening in mere minutes thanks to the combination of the jade extract, his Regeneration ability, the Celestial Moon Necklace's healing boost, and the system's multiplication effect.
When Levi finally opened his eyes again, nearly an hour had passed. His body felt significantly better—not perfect, but functional. He could use techniques again without risking permanent crippling, though he'd need to be careful not to push too hard too soon.
He stretched experimentally, feeling the improved flexibility in his joints, the reduced pain in his muscles.
As if on cue, the driver's voice returned. "Chaotic Star City now visible on the horizon. We'll be landing at the main terminal in fifteen minutes."
Levi looked through the window and he couldn't help but me mesmerize once more. Even though he had see it before, it was still stunning.
Closer to the center, commercial districts rose like mountains of glass and metal. Skyscrapers reached toward the clouds, their surfaces gleaming with holo ads that played. Hover-cars zipped between buildings like schools of fish, following designated traffic lanes connected to their vehicles.
And at the very heart of the city, dominating the them all was Chaotic Star Academy.
The academy occupied an area roughly the size of Ironpeak City's entire city. Massive walls—easily fifty meters high and covered in defensive formations that pulsed with golden light—surrounded the campus. Guard towers punctuated the walls at regular intervals, each one manned by cultivators whose auras blazed like miniature suns even from this distance.
But what truly took Levi's breath away were the floating islands.
That must be where the academy leadership resides, Levi thought. The Dean and the elders.
The hover-car began its descent, joining a steady stream of traffic heading toward the main transport hub. As they dropped in altitude, Levi got a better view of Chaotic Star City's street level.
This is what true civilization looks like, Levi realized. Not just survival, but thriving. Multiple species, multiple cultures, all coexisting in one place.
