Chapter 688: On the Brink
Long Rong started in surprise.
The incense stick just planted into the cauldron began to burn in the blink of an eye.
It wasn't just smoldering; it was burning!
With such an incense cauldron, the ritual began with the Human Dao Siming offering respects to the heavens. Whoever lit the incense would then have to wait for it to slowly smolder away before receiving the testimony of heaven and earth.

Zhu Wuneng stared blankly. "How is it burning so fast..."
Lu Qishan saw through it at a glance. "He used his Soul Fire for the heavenly sacrifice. Naturally, it burns fast."
As she spoke, a flash of sword light slashed toward them.
The Evil Phoenix sensed the sword's might drawing ever closer.
