Chapter 382: Whole Council
When Ruan Chanchan arrived at the cave where the elders were waiting for her, seeing the entire crowd, she could not help but frown hard. What was going on? What were they going to say to her that needed the entire council to sit down and talk with her? However, she was not worried. As long as they dared to call her, she dared to face them. Ruan Chanchan calmly walked inside the cave and looked at the people in front of her.
"Did you call me for something?" Ruan Chanchan calmly asked. Behind her, Xie Daiyu also looked at the elders with a frown on his face. He could not understand what was going on. What kind of scheme were these people cooking? He knew his mate too well; there were close to null chances of Ruan Chanchan making trouble, which meant that it must be the elders who were creating a fuss for no reason.
However, he did not say anything. He would first wait and see what was going on; only then would he give his two cents.
"Sit." Elder Qian said to Ruan Chanchan crisply, causing the woman to furrow her brows even more but Ruan Chanchan didn’t refuse. She sat down on the small rock that was facing the council and folded her hands on her lap, waiting to hear what the elders wanted to say
Seeing how calm Ruan Chanchan looked, the elders were dissatisfied. This woman had no sense; she had caused such trouble for their tribe and yet she was not even showing the slightest bit of regret on her face. How could they not be upset?
Elder Lin especially disliked Ruan Chanchan. She did not know why but she just did not like this woman. Ever since she heard that Ruan Chanchan had recovered and started helping the tribe, she had looked at the woman as if she was a thorn in her side. There was no way; this was what Ruan Chanchan owed her. Just thinking about the humiliation that she had suffered in the past, her eyes blazed and she slammed her hand on the stone boulder that was in the shape of an arc in front of her.
"You! Do you even know what kind of sin you have committed?" Elder Lin asked, causing Ruan Chanchan to frown and look at her in confusion.
"Trouble? What kind of trouble did I even cause for the tribe when I wasn’t even here?" Ruan Chanchan suddenly felt that these people were causing trouble for no reason, what did she even do? She was not even in the tribe!
"Hah! A woman like you whose heart is not with the tribe does not need to stay in the tribe to cause trouble. You are so selfish; you stay in the tribe and eat our food and yet you favour someone else. This is really too much!" Elder Lin spat.
Ruan Chanchan raised her hand and wiped the saliva off her face silently; she still did not understand what was going on.
Elder Lin, on the other hand, felt that she had not relieved enough of her anger, so she continued, "Ruan Chanchan, it’s fine if you are not willing to get along with the rest of the tribe on normal days but how can you support and help another tribe and disregard us? Do you think it’s fair?"
"First off, what did I even do that disregarded the entire tribe?" Ruan Chanchan asked. She hated how these people were talking about this and that but they were not even telling her what she had done.
"The heated beds!"
When Ruan Chanchan heard the mention the heated beds, she felt speechless. So the reason they called her here was because of the heated beds? She looked at the elders, who were all staring at her as if she had committed some grave crime. "What of them?"
"What of them?" Elder Rui chuckled darkly. "Ruan Chanchan, do you even know how much loss our tribe is going to suffer because of you? If you wanted, you could have taught our tribe’s members how to make the heated beds, and we could have sold them to the other tribes. The money that we could have earned could have stabilised our tribe but because of you, we have made this loss, don’t you think you should do something about it?"

Ruan Chanchan understood what was going on at once. She inhaled deeply and questioned, "What do you want me to do about it?"
The elders looked at one another as if they could not understand whether Ruan Chanchan was playing with them or if she really did not understand what they were trying to say.
Elder Lin glanced at the woman with a look of deep hatred and snapped, "What else? This is the debt that you owe; you have to pay it back."
Ruan Chanchan sneered when she heard the words of the woman. She knew that there was something wrong with the twisted thinking of the elders but she never thought that they were this foolish. What did Elder Lin mean by that this was her debt and she should be the one to pay it back?
"You..." Xie Daiyu was also furious. This was really unfair to his wife; she had brought an alliance with her after exchanging the heated beds. So why was she being blamed for something that did not even make sense?
However, Ruan Chanchan did not let him intervene. She patted him on the back of the hand and then turned her attention to the elders. "You mean to say that I took something from the tribe?"
"Did you not?" Elder Lin quarrelled back confidently. In her eyes, she had finally received the chance to humiliate Ruan Chanchan and wanted to make use of it to the fullest.
"Then tell me what did I take away from the tribe?" Ruan Chanchan was calm. She was waiting for them to answer her question.
