Chapter 305: Precautions
Aegon could understand their anger, as the Corals were planning to bring something worse than death upon the Vayrins. He loved his people, so the mere thought of it made him angry.
"Don’t worry, you’ll get a chance for that too," Aegon stared at the cube calmly. "For now, we need to make sure there is no danger to the people. We can’t take action before that, and I’m afraid my arrival might alert them and make them try something early."
[Boss, we have found all the explosives we can find. I’ve personally checked this time, and there are no other explosives. But there might be something else.]
Aegon hummed and glanced at Elara, who seemed lost in thought, "Do you have any idea what else they can use?"
She stayed silent for a moment before replying, "Please check the people. I’m afraid they might have slipped something into their bodies."
"What?" Kaelis exclaimed in shock.
Aegon had no reaction, as he just silently gave the command to Hecte to look into it. The Red Veil didn’t just have deadly people, but also very skilled ones. Like Miguel, who specialised in blacksmithing and anything related to it, there were other people for other professions.
He was sure at least one of them could find some clues.

While they were busy, Aegon focused back on the Nexium Gas. It was trapped in a small white glass sphere, which would explode upon receiving the trigger. And the other Rune Formations functioned for that trigger.
’It’s good that I didn’t recklessly open it.’
Soon, he dissected the whole cube and its functions, which made him happy with his choice. There was a Rune Formation that could trigger the bomb if someone tried to open it again.
He didn’t think he was at the level of opening it without triggering the bomb. But his subordinates were. Miguel opened it without any problem, as he understood craftsmanship better than most people.
Taking the gas ball in his hands, he said, "They likely already consumed an antidote for it. Want me to get its antidotes, just in case?"
"I know it’s asking too much, but please do so," Kaelis bowed before him without any hesitation and said.
"I like your dedication to saving your people." Aegon smiled. "Worry not, nothing will happen to them."
"Yes. As for its antidote," Elara took the Gas Ball from him and said, "I’ll create it. Nothing hard for an Elf like me."
’Oh yeah, Elves are basically immune to all kinds of poison,’ Aegon thought. ’The World Tree’s blessings give them many boosts, I guess.’
Elara put a finger on the ball, as he watched it disappear inside it. When she took it out, there was a puff of purple mist dancing around her finger. Before he could say anything, she consumed it as if it was some delicious dish.
Aegon was speechless. ’Is this what others feel when I walk out of flames completely fine? The hell. Who consumes zombie-making gas so casually!?’
Apparently, his dear lover did.
"Hmm," she hummed, closing her eyes. "Such nasty stuff. If it was in our land, the World Tree would automatically purify it. There is no place for such stuff in Sylvanna."
Then, she proceeded to take out a bunch of herbs from her space ring and began the alchemy process right before them. He was a bit confused, as he didn’t think this was how alchemy was supposed to work.
As if reading his thoughts, Elara smiled, "It isn’t the alchemy humans use, and is more unique to me."
"I see," Aegon leaned forward and began to study it. "It’s interesting. You’re using your Essence as the furnace and fuel at the same time."
"Yes, my constitution allows it," Elara replied, still focused on the herbs hovering in the air before her. "And also because I have blessings from the World Tree."
The herbs began to break apart before coming together in specific amounts and qualities. Gradually, they took the shape of ten deep green pills that floated in the air, filling it with a floral fragrance.
Elara waved her hand as all ten entered separate wooden bottles. She gave them to Kaelis and said, "Mix one in a large quantity of water and have it sprayed on everyone. It’ll make them immune to the gas for at least a few days."
She looked a bit troubled, adding with a sigh, "If I had more time, I would have made proper antidotes in large amounts."
"This will do, My Lady." Kaelis hurriedly said, taking the bottles as if they were Heavenly treasures. "It’s life-saving grace. As long as I am alive, I will never forget this."
"Actually, why don’t we just make it rain?" Aegon said, rubbing his chin. "It’s more efficient and also won’t make things weird."
The room turned silent, as everyone gave him a weird look.
"What?"
"How are you going to make it rain, dear?" Elara asked, genuinely curious. She was confident he could do it if he said it, but she didn’t understand how.
"Are you forgetting that we have a dragon?" Aegon rolled his eyes. "Give me the pills. I’ll make it work."
Although Kaelis was still confused, he still gave the pills to Aegon, trusting him. It was a great idea, but he didn’t understand how a dragon was supposed to make it rain, and even if that happened, how were they going to mix the pills into it? Into the clouds?
Taking the pills, Aegon left the Aerial Council and soon everyone there felt a powerful presence descend upon the island. Even from a distance, they felt like choking under Virginia’s presence.
Fortunately, it didn’t last long and Aegon returned back to the Aerial Council soon with a smile on his face.
"Just wait a few minutes and all of Chainbound Sky will be blessed with rain."
"Good work," Elara patted his hand. "Though, do explain it to me later."
"Sure."
[Boss, we found some people. It was hard to detect what was wrong with them, but we found them. They have something implanted in their hearts, but I don’t know what.]
Aegon’s smile disappeared, as he said, "We need to detain all of them."
