The entire battlefield was immersed in a frenzy.

Duanmu Huai could feel it—each breath he took, each heartbeat, seemed to connect him to the soldiers on the battlefield, in a bidirectional feedback process—when those soldiers killed an Alien, he felt joy. And this joy was conveyed back to the soldiers, making them even more fanatical.

Duanmu Huai was satisfied with this. In a way, he could finally consider himself standing at the same level as the Evil God. Just as the Brutal Wrath paid heed to every warrior fighting in a bloodbath, he also saw the Star Alliance soldiers transforming under his influence.

Perhaps before this, they were standard Star Alliance soldiers, but Duanmu Huai believed that after this war ended, they would become fervent purifiers of humanity’s enemies.

The will of the Old God, when combined with the God of Destruction, seemed quite effective.

If there was anything Duanmu Huai felt dissatisfied with, it would be the slow pace of advancement. Komoro was originally just a logistics center-like structure built by the Spirit race in the Interstellar Web. But after countless millennia of expansion, it had become a colossal tumor. However, for Duanmu Huai, this was sufficient.

He never counted on destroying Komoro City merely through ground assaults, as it was clearly impossible. Komoro, while a city within the Web, was essentially the size of a planet. Trying to capture this planet with human hands would be a colossal waste of resources—it would take too long and cost too much, making it an unprofitable endeavor for Duanmu Huai, the God of Destruction.

The ground battle was only intended to distract Komoro, allowing the Tribunal Fleet to enter the Web in time. And now that Aikute had destroyed the defense fleet and reached the designated position, there was only one thing left for Duanmu Huai to do.
