Chapter 1501: Divided by Ideals
Most Rank Five magic spells could never hope to clear the outer defenses of the Blue Star Civilization.
But Sein’s magic, infused with the Azure Flame’s potent decomposition power, could melt even the Gallant Federation’s metal fleets. Clearing Blue Star’s outer defenses was a trivial task for him.
As Sein stepped out of the vessel to begin his spellcasting, with Yuri guarding him in her Burning Flame Unit, two Rank Four Klytheran powerhouses moved in to provide cover at Karazo’s signal.
The strength of the surviving Klytherans far surpassed that of the Huusians.
Both races had originated from once medium-sized world civilizations, which only highlighted how much greater the Klytherans’ potential was compared to the Huusians.
Karazo’s legion for this Blue Star campaign numbered roughly seven hundred thousand. Among them were six fighters of Rank Four and above—two women and four men.
This was only a portion of their total strength. Elsewhere, a smaller detachment of the legion remained stationed at another location, guarded by two more higher-ranking combatants.
That stronghold served as the primary refuge of the Klytheran survivors. Before discovering the habitable Blue Star, the weaker members of the race had gathered there to survive and reproduce.
One of the female fighters, Kram, watched Sein with curiosity as he performed the incantation for his spell.
Magus World mages typically required a substantial amount of preparation when casting spells of immense destructive power or spells that covered vast areas.
Such extensive preparation was often impractical on chaotic battlefields.
However, once the incantation was complete, a Rank Four mage could use their mental focus and the power of laws to unleash elemental strikes far beyond the natural limits of their own elemental power.
