Chapter 1208: Site Selection
The underground world was a maze of winding, interconnected tunnels, and the cave entrance Sein had entered this time was not the same one he had used to leave years ago.
Still, relying on his memory and sense of direction, Sein managed to navigate through alternate paths toward the ruins of Mystralora City.
After thousands of years of change, what used to be the site of Mystralora had turned into a sea of magma.
Crimson-red magma flowed slowly before him, casting a fiery glow across the cavern walls.
Only along the fringes of this molten expanse could one still make out a few heavily eroded remnants of stone structures.
Returning to this place stirred something deep in Sein.
Back then, he had just been a struggling black magic initiate, trying to survive in the shadows of this harsh, unforgiving world.
The magma sea was a sign that there might be a pyro elemental planar node hidden within it.
Sein had been searching for a suitable node for years. That long-standing obsession sparked a strange, sudden idea as he looked over the ruined Mystralora again.
His previously relaxed body tensed.
If memory served, Mystralora City had indeed been consumed by magma. But more importantly, he vaguely recalled that a massive lumenstone vein had once sat directly above the city.
Lumenstone was a fairly low-grade ore imbued with lumen elemental energy, commonly used to make magic lamps.
