Sein, having entered the battlefield in his demigod form, eventually caught Leena’s trail near a basin with an underground mine on the outskirts of the Black Tower of Cinderbones

The fighting here was just as intense, with initiates from the tower using the terrain of the mine to hold their ground.

Unfortunately, the sheer number of black mages attacking the area had pushed the battle deep into the underground tunnels.

Sein’s arrival immediately drew attention from both parties.

What made him stand out even more was that his robe bore no indication of which black tower he belonged to.

Nevertheless, his blazing demigod aura was enough to send shivers down the spines of most lower-ranking mages.

After a quick glance around, Sein rushed toward the largest tunnel opening without hesitation.

Intense flames erupted violently around him the moment he neared the underground mines, spreading in all directions.

By this point, Sein had come to understand that mercy was in short supply around Blackhaven—and, in fact, it was often perceived as weakness.

So, instead of playing nice, he had to be ruthless. This was the only way for him to find Leena quickly.

The flames he unleashed carried the power of ashes.
