Two thousand dragons ransacking the City of Wealth together was probably the biggest news of the year.
The sheer might of such a force was overwhelming. With wingspans stretching tens of meters, the dragons darkened the skies as they passed, spreading panic across even the farthest corners of eastern Faeloria.
If a single dragon appeared in the wild, tales of some brave hero slaying it would probably circulate soon.
But two thousand dragons acting in unison? Even the deities would think twice before getting in their way.
The dragons of Faeloria were getting smarter.
Most of the time, they kept to themselves on Dragon Island in the outer sea, rarely bothering with affairs on the mainland.
But whenever the Avatar Crisis hit, they would come out to “get rich”.
Dragon Island had more adult dragons than the two thousand that showed up in the City of Wealth.
Still, seeing that many gathered together at once gave everyone a glimpse of just how mighty the dragon gods were.
To Faeloria’s major factions, the dragon gods were considered relatively weak—slightly stronger than the fading ancient gods, but nowhere near the level of the Order or Evil-aligned camps, or the Chaotic demons.
When the dragons looted the City of Wealth, both the Justice League and Wings of Nature, who held sway over the eastern half of Faeloria, had no choice but to mobilize forces for damage control.
