Chapter 1063: The Battle Between Good and Evil
Of course, Faeloria had not forgotten Sein; the three distinct forces attempting to probe into him were proof enough that hidden powers were still keeping tabs on him.
Inside Purgatory, at least, Sein enjoyed relative security.
Beyond its borders, however, the demons would be hard-pressed to shield him from danger.
Undaunted by the Succubus Queen’s cautionary words, Sein pressed her for details about the God of Craft.
“The God of Craft was sighted eighty-three years ago. A ragtag group of unknown origin tried to ambush him, hoping to slay him. Instead, they were completely obliterated. He dispatched them with a wooden giant that looked like those alchemy puppets you made,” the Succubus Queen shared.
“Unknown origins? So it wasn’t the Godslayers? And a wooden giant, of all things?” Sein scratched his head.
“It wasn’t the Godslayers,” the Succubus Queen confirmed. “We suspect certain Dark Alliance deities orchestrated that attack. As for the wooden giant, it’s reportedly at saint-level strength.”
Folding her arms, she continued, “The God of Craft was last seen in the San Jose Kingdom, in central Faeloria—a territory controlled by the Justice League. Aside from him, several of the league’s lesser deities are also present: the Goddess of Music, the God of Glyphs, the Goddess of Waters, the Goddess of Joy... all of them have recently gathered in that region.”
“With the Avatar Crisis growing ever more turbulent, the Justice League appears to be consolidating its defenses—particularly around deities who aren’t well-suited for combat,” she added.
Sein raised an eyebrow. “That’s quite a crowd. Do they even get along with each other?”
“Normally, no. Differences in their doctrines and divine abilities often spark conflict. But these particular deities share amicable ties. There are nearly three hundred deities in the Justice League, and more than half are lesser deities. There’s no way all of them could converge at once. Still, it’s not uncommon for a close-knit group to band together in times of crisis,” the Succubus Queen replied.
