Chapter 144
Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the arrow, Felix swooped down from above, his fiery wings beating with powerful strokes. He aimed directly for Ursula, his talons extended and ready to strike. Ursula, sensing the impending attack, unleashed a barrage of flaming projectiles from her fingertips, creating a wall of fire to intercept Felix’s advance.
Felix’s wings turned into hands that released two quick small explosions as he twisted and turned in mid-air, narrowly dodging the fiery onslaught. He continued his descent, determined to close the distance between him and Ursula. As he drew closer, Ursula unleashed a powerful blast of golden flame from her outstretched hands, aiming to incinerate him in a searing inferno.
Felix with a defiant roar, he summoned forth a shield of crimson fire, which enveloped him in a protective barrier. The golden flames clashed against the fiery shield, creating a dazzling display of light and heat as the two elemental forces battled for supremacy.
Seizing the opportunity, the Jaguar unleashed another arrow from her bow, aiming for Ursula’s vulnerable flank. The arrow streaked through the air with unerring accuracy, closing the distance between itself and its target with alarming speed, The phoenix caught the arrow as it swopped down to Jaguar who had no hesitation as he jumped into the purple lake.
Now inside the purple lake, The jaguar was able to conjure a bigger water arrow which it aimed at the sky and released, the phoenix seeing that it didn’t battle head on instead it swerved dodging the arrow.
Aiming at the center of the Island where the heart was, the phoenix released a torrent of flame which headed straight for the small island. The jaguar inside the lake waved its hand causing a huge wave of water to head for the Island to cover it. At the same time the arrow it shot to the sky dispersed, turning into a rain of purple water which condensed turning into ice as it fell back from the sky heading for the Phoenix.
As the torrent of flame surged towards the small island, the Jaguar’s wave of water crashed against it with tremendous force, creating a billowing cloud of steam that obscured the battlefield. The Phoenix screeched out loud as the flame surrounding it increased as the rain of ice that fell on it turned to steam.
The steam blocked the sight of Phoenix and the Jaguar made use of the lake to throw itself to the sky, reaching the phoenix it swiped its claws now condensed with ice at the Phoenix taking with it one of its wings.
The wings dispersed into thin the air but the phoenix is half living construct so it took no damage which caused the eyebrow of the jaguar to twitch as it quickly surrounded himself with a Purple ice shield as the other wing of the phoenix swapped at him while the wings that was off regenerated.
