Chapter 123
This was the conversation most heard after Ikem announcement, some apelings see this as an opportunity to prove themselves, some see it as an opportunity to gain fame and more power. But one thing they all had in common was they all could hardly wait for school to start so that they could show how much they have been holding back over the years.
Meanwhile somewhere in the eastern continent, Brix and Aqua and a few other treants are carrying out the new job they took upon themselves which was restoring the lands, and it has been proving effectful as a view from their starting point to where they are now can show far that they have come.
Life begins flourishing each time they are done with restoring a Forest, things going back to their natural way, now today they have found themselves before a very powerful invasive life forms. It was of no problem to brix and Aqua but for the other treants, it was quite dangerous.
It first started when they walked into this particular part of the forest, only to be met with a sight of trees with glowing leaves with the shape of an Ivy, it would have meant nothing if it was only one tree but the other trees around also have the same unfamiliar looking leaves.
This wasn’t their first time coming across invasive plants, before they got here they have met quite a few and with the new established connection with nature through their creator, they both perform a ritual which makes the plant become a life form no longer foreign to their world and its unique nature.
With that experience, they thought nothing of it as they all walked deeper into the forest, Aqua already established a connection and felt the mastermind of the strange happening was just a bit further in the forest, the closer they got to the forest the more they began noticing a large amount of spores floating in the air.
Once Brix felt the effect of the Spores, he was about to scream out "Stop" when all of a sudden he was covered with water as a branch with metallic sheen moved quickly toward him but was blocked by the water coverage.
Looking around with caution, Brix noticed that the treants around them were undergoing quick transformation in their eyes. The leaves on the treant now took similar shape as an ivy plant. "The spores seem to be some form of parasite," Aqua said as he moved towards Brix.
"I can see that, it seems the main body got nervous seeing us getting so close" Brix said as he stood back to back with Aqua as they are now both surrounded.
