Chapter 1977 - 561: Good things come in pairs
Flora Tiarks is meeting the Thompson Family for the first time as Samuel Thompson’s girlfriend.
Receiving such a valuable gift on the first meeting really isn’t appropriate.
"Just accept it, accept it," Mary Perryne gripped Flora Tiarks’s hand, "You see, before your aunt even knew that Borden’s girlfriend was you, she picked out a purple bracelet. This means the bracelet is fated to be with you. If you don’t accept it, I will be upset!"
Flora Tiarks had no way to refuse anymore, so she accepted the bracelet, thinking that she would buy a gift of equal value for Mary Perryne later.
"Then thank you, auntie," Flora Tiarks said with a smile.
"You’re welcome," Mary Perryne continued, "No need to be so formal with your auntie!"
The group of people stood outside.
Viola Thompson said with a smile: "Mom, Dad, let’s not all stand outside, let’s go inside. Flora isn’t an outsider!"
"Right, right, inside, inside." Mary Perryne pulled Flora Tiarks by the hand, "Look at me, I got so happy I became muddleheaded. It’s so cold outside, and I made you stand out here for so long. Flora, are you cold?"
"I’m not cold, auntie," Flora Tiarks shook her head.
Mary Perryne was too enthusiastic, making her a bit embarrassed.
