Eva Webster narrowed her eyes, "Isla, are you really that afraid of your aunt and uncle finding out about your affair with Mr. Thompson?"

Mockery filled the depths of Eva Webster’s eyes.
She couldn’t stand Isla Astir’s hypocrisy.
If Isla Astir really was in a relationship with someone as important as Mandel Thompson, why would she fear her parents finding out?

Eva Webster sighed and continued, "Isla, you’re really quite blessed—making your own money is one thing, but to find such an excellent boyfriend too!"
Isla Astir turned to Eva Webster and smiled, "Second cousin, you don’t need to envy me. You’ll meet the right person for yourself one day too."
"Hope so!" Eva Webster squinted her eyes, "Isla, when is your boyfriend Mr. Thompson planning to invite me for a meal?"
Isla Astir didn’t directly answer Eva Webster’s question, merely saying, "When the time is right, are you worried we won’t invite you for a meal?"
