Chapter 242: The Hot Strategy Meeting (1) Alina
The night in Arkansas was unusually still, the air thick with anticipation. The House of Roses buzzed with quiet activity as the plan to protect the city from Duke Ravindor’s impending grasp began to unfold. After a long day of executing their missions, Lyan, Josephine, Belle, Xena, and Alina gathered once again, but this time, the atmosphere was more intimate, and the setting was Josephine’s lavish bedroom.
The room was dimly lit, casting a warm glow over the luxurious furnishings. Soft, silken sheets covered the large bed at the center, where they had decided to hold their strategy meeting for the night. The tension of the day had melted into a different kind of tension, one charged with the promise of both strategic planning and sensual indulgence.
Lyan sat at the head of the bed, his back against the headboard. His broad chest was exposed, and he looked both powerful and relaxed. Josephine, Belle, Xena, and Alina were spread around him, their attire suggestive and their eyes filled with a mix of resolve and desire.
Josephine, reclining beside Lyan, began the meeting. "Tonight, we need to reassess our strategies. The Duke’s forces are moving faster than we anticipated, and we have to stay ahead."
Belle, lying on her side with her head propped up on one hand, nodded. "The spies I’ve identified are a good start, but we need more concrete information on the Duke’s next moves. If we can anticipate his plans, we’ll be in a better position to counter them."
Xena, who was at Lyan’s other side, added, "We’ve disrupted his supply lines effectively, but we need to keep the pressure on. If we ease up even a little, he’ll regain his footing."
Lyan’s hand traced lazy patterns on Josephine’s thigh, making her shiver slightly. "We’ll need to coordinate our efforts even more closely. Each of us has a critical role to play, and we can’t afford any missteps."
Alina, positioned at the foot of the bed, leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with both determination and a hint of mischief. "We should also think about morale. Not just ours, but our allies’. A motivated force is a strong one, and if we can keep spirits high, we’ll be much more effective."
Josephine shifted closer to Lyan, her hand resting on his chest. "We’ve done well so far, but the real challenge is maintaining our momentum. We need to keep hitting the Duke’s forces hard and fast."
As she spoke, her fingers traced the muscles of his chest, her touch light but charged with electricity. Lyan’s other hand found its way to Belle’s waist, pulling her closer. "Agreed. And to do that, we need to make sure we’re all on the same page."
Xena, feeling the rising heat in the room, moved closer as well, her fingers brushing against Lyan’s arm. "We’ve faced worse odds before. We can do this, but we need to be smart about it."
