"You finally came," Emerald smirked. "So you’re the one who’s been wiping out all the floors?"
Nox locked eyes with the demoness. She was now wearing a flowing black dress, but even then, it did nothing to cover up her hot, seductive body.
Immediately, Nox took a fighting stance. "So, are you going to hand over my pet back to me, or will I have to use force?"
A small smile appeared on Emerald’s face. "Well, so that’s how the humans greet," she noted, then gestured to a table. "Well, I thought we could talk over this with a meal."
Nox’s expression changed when he saw the luxurious food that seemed as if it had been meticulously planned for two people.
However, despite the food’s inviting look, he wasn’t moved in the slightest. It was just pure stupidity to dine in the house of a literal demon.
"I’m sorry, I have to decline your offer."
"Oh." A look of sadness briefly crossed Emerald’s face. She pouted, looking at Nox with a frown. "I took several minutes to set that up, you know?"
"Well, I never sent you," he replied as he slowly activated his skills, ready for a fight.
"Oh, why so eager for a fight?" Emerald asked, walking over to the table and pouring herself some wine, her movements fluid and graceful.
’Isn’t she scared... did she just turn her back on me?’ Nox narrowed his eyes, watching Emerald gulp down the red wine.
