Chapter 667: Counter Invasion?
When Nox stepped inside the room, due to the intense bright blue light coming from the far end, it was pretty difficult to miss it.
Although he had not witnessed when the demons activated the portal, he could tell this was one of the portals due to the device just below it, powering it.
Now... he had two options.
Head inside the portal or close it down. It was a really tough decision, but at the same time, he couldn’t help but be curious about what the other side looked like.

There was also something that struck him as odd. Why was it that no demons were coming through this portal?
He recalled how Headmistress Bridget told him about an unending wave rushing out of the portal and attacking any human on sight like a hungry beast.
Yet even after about five minutes of looking around, there was nothing of the sort, which further made him curious about just what was on the other side.
Of course, even if he wanted to enter the portal, he couldn’t afford to leave Jared behind, so he quickly went back outside.
Jared remained in the same spot, scanning his surroundings with a cautious gleam in his eyes.
