Chapter 1561: Impending Disaster
“You came from Nanjiang, Dao Friend?” Surprisingly, Lady Suyi did not look panicky or angry.
Ye Qing nodded. “That’s right.” Lady Suyi asked another question, “So, you followed the White Stone Gentleman to this place?”
Ye Qing smiled. “You are a smart one, lady. That is correct.”
“Forgive me, lady! This disciple was careless! This disciple deserved a million deaths!” The White Stone Gentleman immediately dropped to his knees and admitted his mistake. He finally realized why he had been feeling uneasy since his trip to Nanjiang. It wasn’t paranoia after all. It was because he had caught a tail.
“You do deserve death.” Lady Suyi said indifferently. “You know what to do, don’t you?”
“This disciple understands.” The White Stone Gentleman was surprised at first. Then, hatred and brutality welling in his eyes, he slowly rose to his feet.
As he stood, he took on his humanoid form. His goat limbs turned into human limbs, and his curly horn kept growing longer and longer. At the same time, butterflies bloomed on his horns, and butterflies danced around it.
“You deserve death!” Eyes bloodshot, the White Stone Gentleman roared angrily. The next moment, every flower on the horn withered, and the petals took to the air on their own even though there was no wind. Butterflies accompanied their dance and weaved a poetic, picturesque sight.
This picturesque sight was deadly, however. Those who saw the petals would lose their focus and consciousness without knowing, and those who made contact with the butterflies would disappear in both mind and soul.
Ye Qing remained calm, however. His eyes were bright and clear as if the petals failed to affect him in the slightest, nor did he try to dodge out of the butterflies’ way.
The next moment, Ye Qing opened his mouth and exhaled. It was like a sudden gust of strong eastern wind. It instantly ripped the picturesque scene to pieces and blew the petals and the butterflies away.
Shocked and angry, the White Stone Gentleman ran toward Ye Qing with his head lowered as if he was aiming for a headbutt. At the same time, waves of light washed out of his horns. Wherever the light went, the petals were cut into pieces, the butterflies were killed, and the space was pierced.
