Chapter 279: Wait for Me Here
Before she could react to what had happened, a massive beam was collapsing toward her direction. Unable to escape in time, the column struck her hard on the left shoulder and head, sending her crashing to the ground.
Everyone was stunned by the scene. Gu Hangshen had just started to move when Leng Tou swiftly chopped his hand towards the back of his neck.
To everyone’s surprise, Gu Hangshen managed to stay conscious despite the blow. Leng Tou wanted to hit again but was frightened by Gu Hangshen’s gaze and dared not continue, watching helplessly as he rushed inside.
Just when all seemed lost, the woman lying on the ground stirred. Then she got up, propped Gong Hannian on her uninjured shoulder, and started dragging them both towards the exit, step by step.
Debris kept falling all around, a terrifying sight to behold.
At last, she collapsed five steps from the entrance, exhausted. She looked at Gu Hangshen, whose eyes were red with frantic desperation, and pushed the person on her shoulder into his arms, "Giving her back to you..."
"Wait for me here." He stared at her intensely, tucking her disheveled hair behind her ears, then took the almost breathless Gong Hannian in his arms and ran towards the ambulance.
Everyone clustered around Gu Hangshen and Gong Hannian, anxious to see if they were injured.
