Black Clover: The Son of Fire Dragon Igneel

Chapter 713: SFDI - 713

When Drake landed before the entrance of the Great Labyrinth of Dogramag, he realized what the Earth Dragon God and the Fire Dragon God were planning.

The Earth Dragon God’s fake death over so many years had led to a truly massive scheme!

Any mage could sense the immense magic power within the Great Labyrinth, but not everyone possessed Drake’s comprehensive perception abilities.

Drake could clearly sense souls and life forces within the Great Labyrinth.

To be precise, the aura wasn’t emanating from a specific location within the labyrinth but was inherent to the labyrinth itself.

This meant the Earth Dragon God was indeed faking its death and had transformed itself into this Great Labyrinth.

The title "God" for the Dragon Gods was truly earned; their powers had already touched upon conceptual forces.

Although not as exaggerated as the Gold Dragon God, who had completely conceptualized himself, the Earth Dragon God transforming into a Great Labyrinth was truly shocking.

This continuously expanding Great Labyrinth of Dogramag was also no simple matter. Drake could sense a pattern in the flow of magic power within it.

In short, this Great Labyrinth had become a massive magic circle. And after centuries of expansion, this Great Labyrinth had actually extended across the entire continent.

The purpose of the magic circle was also simple: to cast a spell upon all living beings on the continent.

That spell was the Dragon Transformation magic, which could alter life forms and transform humans into dragons.

To achieve that spell, the Great Labyrinth of Dogramag, formed by the Earth Dragon God, suppressed the power of the Five Dragon Gods, awaiting activation to jointly power the Dragon Transformation magic.

It was precisely this kind of magic, affecting the humans of an entire continent, that required the Earth Dragon God to act as the central hub, gathering the power of other dragons bearing the name of gods to complete it.

This was also the task the two dragons were collaborating on: forcibly transforming humans into dragons, recreating the long-lost era of dragons.

It was fortunate that Ignia could come up with such a method, and that he and the Earth Dragon God were lucky enough.

Because after the Earth Dragon God was defeated by Elefseria , it accidentally swallowed his heart. And Elefseria was the Law Dragon Slayer.

Elefseria ’s Law attribute was knowledge. His heart contained all the magical knowledge of this world.

It was precisely with the heart of the Law Dragon that the Earth Dragon God not only completed its revival and recovered its strength during its slumber but could also transform into a Great Labyrinth, thus enabling their plan.

Drake couldn’t help but admire his "cheap older brother’s" madness, having spent a century planning such a grand undertaking.

Whether this era was good or not was debatable for Drake, but he was certain he wouldn’t like the dragon era Ignia envisioned.

Although he had only met Ignia once, Drake clearly recognized that he was completely different from his father, Igneel. He was undoubtedly a typical dragon, believing in the law of the jungle and solely pursuing battle.

Drake rejected the idea of what kind of world Ignia wanted to create just by imagining it; Drake didn’t want to live in such a world.

Thinking this, Drake reached out and directly broke the iron chains and talismans at the entrance of the Great Labyrinth of Dogramag. He turned to Elefseria and said, "Old man, you should stay far away. The commotion that follows might be quite significant."

With that, Drake stepped into the range of the Great Labyrinth.

Perhaps sensing Drake’s intrusion, the Great Labyrinth trembled slightly.

Drake curled his lip and looked up slightly, saying, "You’ve already detected me? Since that’s the case, be direct and show yourself. My time is quite precious."

The shaking intensified, and a deep male voice emanated from the labyrinth walls.

"The scent of a Dragon Slayer is still so unpleasant!

I know you. You are the child raised by Igneel, the one who has dealt with my good brother, Ignia."

The Great Labyrinth of Dogramag, transformed from the Earth Dragon God, had extended across the entire continent. Coupled with the Law Dragon’s heart, although he had been sleeping, he had not lost his grasp of external intelligence, so he immediately recognized Drake.

Drake was not surprised and said, "Since you know me, it’ll be easier. I’ve also guessed what you and Ignia are planning, but I don’t like the world you want, so I’ve come to beat up a guy who should have exited the stage long ago!"

"Hahahaha!"

Deafening laughter echoed within the Great Labyrinth, causing it to shake even more violently.

At this moment, a violent earthquake occurred across the entire continent of Guiltina.

In a tower-like castle somewhere on the continent, a bare-chested young man sitting on a throne opened his eyes. As his eyes opened, the surrounding temperature began to rise.

Such an obvious anomaly naturally did not escape the notice of Fairy Tail and Diabolos’s group heading towards Elmina, who couldn’t help but wonder if Drake had done something again.

...

"How arrogant, human. You have always been nothing but our food!"

With a deafening roar, the walls of the Great Labyrinth, harder than steel, shattered. Large cracks also appeared on the ground, and a massive tail emerged from the fissures.

Immediately after, a colossal figure appeared before Drake.

It was a giant rock dragon, its majestic body seemingly composed entirely of stacked stones, exuding an aura of invincibility.

The Earth Dragon God looked down at Drake and said, "Your arrogance has truly angered me. I apologize to Ignia, but I’ve decided to devour you!"

Drake clenched his fists and said, "What a coincidence. I wasn’t planning on having a conversation with you either!"

With that, the Earth Dragon God’s body began to shrink, but even at its smallest, it was nearly three meters tall.

The human form of the Earth Dragon God was a robust giant, bare-chested, with his hair tied into a braid and flowing down his back. His face and body, with clearly defined lines, bore rock-like patterns.

Beneath the cross-shaped scar on his chest were solid muscles, exuding an aura of immense strength.

"After sleeping for so long, my power hasn’t fully recovered yet. It’s a good opportunity to warm up with a fight. However, if a dragon fights a human without holding back, it wouldn’t be very interesting."

While calling Drake arrogant, the Earth Dragon God’s own arrogance was already evident.

And as he said himself, having experienced death and resurrection, even after more than a hundred years, he hadn’t fully recovered his strength.

Even so, he still used his human form to fight Drake, showing how much he looked down on humans.

However, Drake did not criticize the Earth Dragon God, as he was much the same.

Drake knew that to expand the Great Labyrinth of Dogramag, the Earth Dragon God had dispersed his power into the Core of Dogramag, scattering them throughout the Great Labyrinth.

As long as all those Cores of Dogramag were destroyed, the Earth Dragon God could be weakened to his limit. In the original story, Natsu and the others defeated the Earth Dragon God using this method.

However, Drake did not use this method; he intended to defeat the Earth Dragon God Dogramag through direct combat.
