"Hiroshi, where are we now on the map? How much longer until we reach that village! And most importantly, I’m hungry!" Harumiko said to Hiroshi with a smile, touching her stomach.
Upon hearing what Harumiko had just said, Hiroshi nodded with a smile. He then looked at the map and whispered, "We are here, and the village is there. It looks like we still have about an hour’s journey to reach the village. Let’s push on a bit longer. Once we get there, we’ll have a good meal and rest well!"
"No way, an hour more? I don’t think my stomach can hold out! How about we eat something first?" Harumiko said with a smile, feeling like her stomach couldn’t wait any longer.
Hiroshi thought for a second or two, then nodded with a smile. He then took out some compressed meat from his backpack. This was something they had bought before leaving the previous village.
"How about we eat a little of this to tide us over? I’m not hungry right now. You eat first, and then we’ll continue our journey!" Hiroshi said, placing the food in Harumiko’s hand with a smile.
Harumiko looked at the food in her hand and nodded helplessly. She then said, "Okay, then you must treat me to a good meal when we get to the village. This food can hold me over for a while, but it’s impossible to go without dinner tonight!"
"Okay, okay, I understand. When we get to the village, we’ll go eat first. After eating, I’ll find a place to stay, and then we’ll get some good rest. I’ll definitely treat you to a delicious dinner tonight!" Hiroshi said to Harumiko with a smile.
Upon hearing what Hiroshi had just said, Harumiko nodded with a smile. She then tore open the packaging of the food and began to eat.
While Harumiko was eating, Hiroshi picked up the map and began to study the surrounding area. He discovered that the large lake, which was like a mirror, was still some distance from the village. It would take about twenty to thirty minutes to reach it.
"It will take us over an hour to reach the village. Once we get there, we’ll find a place to eat, then find a place to stay, and get some good rest tonight. Tomorrow, we can head to the lake to see it!" Hiroshi thought to himself with a smile.
Time slowly passed. They rested there for about 20 minutes. Then, Harumiko finished her food, and the two of them embarked on the last hour of their journey.
They didn’t rest at all during this hour, running continuously. Soon, they reached the village they wanted to go to. As they approached the village entrance, they noticed that the village was quite large and very lively.
"I can’t believe we’ve finally arrived! After such a long journey, my stomach is rumbling again! Haha!" Harumiko said to Hiroshi with a smile, standing beside him.
Hiroshi nodded helplessly and then said, "Alright, alright, I know what you mean. Let’s go in. We’ll find a place to eat once we’re inside!"
Upon hearing what Hiroshi had just said, Harumiko nodded with a smile. Then, the two of them slowly walked into the village.
It was surprising that the village was still so lively at this hour. It seemed like nighttime was the liveliest time in this village, and the people here probably loved to come out at night.
"Wow, I have to say, this village is so special. There are so many things I’ve never seen before. Most importantly, this village is so lively! It must be around seven or eight o’clock in the evening now!"
