The Only Player in ‘Child of Stardust’

A resounding bell echoed between heaven and earth, clear and majestic like a military order. The Blood Corpse army roared in unison, bloodthirstily howling as they charged forward.

The lower-level Blood Corpses were former mortals and low-tier cultivators in life. They were the most numerous in the Blood Corpse army and were essentially cannon fodder. Before they could charge very far, over ninety percent would be directly killed by the descending artillery fire.

Only those with agility, flying ability, and a certain level of strength could survive and break through the first line of artillery fire, only to be met with an overwhelming... steel torrent!

In front of steel tanks weighing tens of tons, most Blood Corpses were powerless. They were crushed into pieces like weeds under the cold tracks, covering the entire battlefield with their shattered flesh and bones.

Those Blood Corpses with flying ability or whose energy response breached the danger warning line were destroyed by the tank’s main guns before they could even launch an attack. It was a saturation bombing; the area within a hundred meters was leveled into scorched craters.

By this point, the Blood Corpse army was basically reduced by ninety-nine percent.

And the remaining one percent were the truly troublesome enemies.

Neither the steel torrent nor the artillery bombardment could form effective kills in their presence. Only extraordinary beings of equivalent ranks could pose a threat to their lives.

The battlefield occupied by these transcendent individuals could only be described as a dance of demons.
