The Only Player in ‘Child of Stardust’

The old temple in the mountains was overgrown with weeds.

The mottled walls and damaged roof tiles all spoke of the desolation of years of neglect.

However, the interior of the temple was a different story.

Smooth walls, clean floors, bright lights, and air-conditioning blowing comfortable cool air. A group of people surrounded a table eating hotpot, another group gathered to play mahjong. They smoked, drank, and picked at their toenails, creating a rowdy and smog-filled atmosphere.

In fact, this space was a resting area opened up by an extraordinary spatial tool.

"Damn it, all of you shut the hell up!"

In front of a surveillance setup composed of countless screens, a man took off his headset and shouted angrily, veins bulging on his forehead, "Even with headphones on, I can hear you guys! If you’re not working, can you at least not disturb those of us who are?"

The crowd glanced at him, quiet for just a moment, then returned to their previous activities, smoking, drinking, and picking at their toenails, boasting loudly and completely ignoring him.
