Bro, I'm not an Undead!

Chapter 1549: Perks of the Elite

It’s inevitable, my liege.

Frankly, as soon as Weaver had said this, Skullius had already known what was going on. It simply agitated him. From then on, he had figured that his Primary Existence, his Default Hybrid Warmoth body, wouldn’t be able to beat Fulgardt.

Indeed, it wasn’t an Andori the Immoral was using to make himself invincible. It wasn’t a Treasure either.

It was Fundamental Barter, but the kind that an expert of Skullius’ calibre wasn’t capable of using.

Skullius remembered when Suzamete had said that there were higher forms of Fundamental Barter earlier. Apparently, these were used to create the foundations of worlds, establishing more complex Rules and making it so that a world could adopt its own power system for the living creatures that lived there.

Indeed, forging a power system was no easy feat, and neither was keeping a world balanced. For anyone other than the Primeval Deities, it was essentially impossible to create a Rich world without employing Fundamental Barter; or at least, higher forms of it.

As it were, Fundamental Barter was controlled by one of the Primeval Deities. He was a Deity that wanted greater opportunities for non-Divine combatants. That said, he did have perks for Divines. Useful perks.

Fulgardt was one of the few Divine beings with access to these perks. It was rarely said, because Aigas didn’t know him too well, but he had collapsed more than a few worlds like he did to Luserus’. He had gained a lot of knowledge from extorting weaker Deities who expended their energies on worlds they created and managed on their own.

That was how he had come by this knowledge.

To access Higher Fundamental Barter, as it was broadly called, the first condition that needed to be met, was to consciously apply regular Fundamental Barter twice on the same target. With conscious use, a user of Fundamental Barter could only apply it to one broad ability or object twice, after all. This guaranteed a maximum integral boost of 10 to said ability or object.

Fulgardt had thought this was amusing. Hence, he had done so.
