Chapter 2570: The Deafening Arrow That Shakes the Clouds

Under the blazing sky, a giant reminiscent of a hill charged at the ten suns with a wooden staff. Every step he took easily traversed several mountains, yet he was still significantly slower than the ten suns. He had no idea how long he had been chasing the Golden Crow Ten Princes. It was so hot that his body was scorched red throughout, and a layer of dead white skin had formed around his lips.

He finally saw a raging river he remembered as the human tribes’ famed Yellow River. Under the ten suns, the river bubbled furiously, but he couldn’t care less. He squatted next to the river and began drinking its contents. He almost apepared to be enjoying it even though the water was boiling.

He drank so fast that it didn’t take long for him to gulp down the entire Yellow River. He regained his spirit and continued chasing after the ten suns with huge strides.

However, the suns seemed to be making fun of him. Instead of escaping while he was drinking water, they'd stopped to taunt him. It was only after he downed the river that they hurriedly sped off.

Under the extreme heat, Kuafu’s stamina was being quickly depleted. He soon started gasping for air, but luckily, he stumbled upon the Wei River. Like before, he drank up the entire Wei River before continuing to chase after the ten suns.

By this point, he had already realized that he was no match for the ten suns. Even if he caught up with them, he wouldn’t be able to exact vengeance for Nuba. However, he was fueled by indignation. He refused to submit to the ten suns just like that.

The Shaman races could be defeated, but their spirit could never be quelled!

The chase continued, but Kuafu quickly felt thirsty again despite having just drunk two rivers dry. He remembered that there was a huge lake ahead. Once he drank up that lake, he would have the energy to continue the chase.

It was a pity he didn’t last until reaching the lake. His legs felt increasingly heavy, and he soon struggled to keep his eyes open. He knew that he had reached his limit, though he couldn’t understand why. He wasn't be a match for the ten suns, but he should have been able to last longer.

He looked at the eerily smiling suns in the sky, and realization struck him.

“I see...”
