The Mermaid Queen then took Zu An back to her personal chambers. She was worried that he would be curious as to why she was able to pass through all of the nearby defensive formations, but in the end, she saw that he was just looking all around him in a stupefied daze, as if he didn’t realize just how incredible it was to pass through the entire area without being impeded in the slightest.
He's just a foolish guard as expected. The Mermaid Queen couldn't help but smile. She once again imagined just how far his jaw would drop if he found out her real identity.
When they arrived at a room next to her own bedroom, she warned him, “I am going to report about what happened to the queen and won’t be back for some time. You will wait right here, and you absolutely must not run around all over the place. In a bit, someone will come to bring you a change of clothes.”
“Change of clothes?” Zu An reflexively grabbed his collar and showed a look of fear.
