If this had been a fair battle, the Monster Lord definitely wouldn’t feel so many unnecessary emotions. But this battle had just been too unfavorable for him from the very beginning. He had to fight away from his home territory, and this world was also extremely special, thus restricting a large portion of his strength. It forced him to fight at the limit this world would tolerate. That was why his strength was only on par with Zu An’s.

At first, he hadn't thought it was that big of a deal. He had conquered countless worlds, after all. Even if his strength was restricted, his understanding and usage of power, insight, skills, and magic weapons were all at his disposal. Thus, he'd thought capturing a weak world’s native would be extremely easy. After growing to this extent, he was already the main character of his era. Which main character couldn’t defeat an opponent on the same level?
