To achieve ninth-stage Sovereign combat power without relying on a Xiantian artifact, one would need either:

Dao comprehension at the seventh or eighth-level Dao Field stage, combined with an Apotheosis immortal root.

Or, Dao comprehension at the ninth-level Dao Field stage, along with a first-degree immortal root.

Those who could unleash such power with their own strength were all super powerhouses among Sovereigns, with resounding reputations.

And from the ninth-stage Sovereign level to the Overlord level, the gap in power was more than tenfold, even harder to overcome.
