"That was pushing it a bit, but I'll stop here for today," Luo Chuan muttered, exhaling deeply as he surveyed the lifeless remains of the Ghost Face Vine.
This battle had been grueling. Over the course of the fight, Luo Chuan had been defeated twenty-nine times. Yet, compared to when he first entered the Tower of Trials, the improvement was remarkable.
Back then, during his first attempt at the simple mode's opening level, he had died hundreds of times. The progress he had made since was a testament to his growth.

"Boss, aren't you playing the Tower of Trials anymore?" Yao Ziyan's cheerful voice broke the silence.
"That's enough for today," Luo Chuan replied in his usual calm tone.
"Got it." Yao Ziyan nodded. "It's getting late anyway. I'll go make lunch."
With that, she headed to the second floor. Over time, Yao Ziyan had naturally assumed the role of the store's cook, seamlessly blending her duties with her presence in the shop.
