Chapter 281 - 267 Pull down pants in public
Casually, she placed the bottle by the water fountain, her steps light as clouds, floating back to her original seat.
Zhao Chun saw her shake her head, utterly at ease, smiling to reveal her white teeth.
He couldn’t help but shiver. Experience had taught him that whenever Tian Sangsang smiled like that, someone was bound to suffer.
During a lull when everyone was sleeping, a sudden commotion broke out at the front of the compartment.
Li Mei shouted anxiously, "Where’s the water? Our water is gone! Could it be a thief?!"
The train was filled with all sorts of people! Li Yibai muttered gloomily, "I clearly left it on the table!"
"Whose water is this, left over here?" A train attendant walked by, holding a cup of water in their hand.
"That’s my water." Li Yibai reached out to take it.
This little disturbance left everyone rather disgruntled; not even sleep could be peaceful anymore.
Jia Wenxiu furrowed her delicate eyebrows, and the more she thought about it, the more something felt amiss. "Are you sure you actually brought the water back?"
"Well..." Li Yibai got confused. Yeah, he should have brought it back, shouldn’t he? Otherwise, how could the attendant be holding it?
Now, even he couldn’t be sure anymore.
Jia Wenxiu’s charming eyes flickered as she slowly turned her head.
Tian Sangsang had her eyes closed, resting peacefully, while Zhao Chun and the others were deeply asleep, oblivious to the commotion.
She exhaled in relief, her disdain visibly spilling from her expression.
"We’re arriving soon." Wenxiu said in a lively and light tone, taking a sip of water to soothe her throat.
When she was in a good mood, she looked truly radiant, practically glowing. Beside her, Li Yibai stared, entranced.
Li Mei, feeling parched as well, said, "Wenxiu, can you pour me a little?"
"Go ahead." Wenxiu nodded.
Li Mei pulled out her own cup and poured herself a little water. The dishes earlier were far too salty; she tilted her head back and finished the water she had poured without hesitation.
The train gradually came to a stop, stirring the crowd, everyone getting up to grab their luggage.
The train’s halt also woke Zhao Chun and the others.
Zhao Chun stretched leisurely.
The sunlight streaming through the window was bright and cheerful, just like Tian Sangsang’s current mood.
"Wenxiu, let me carry your things," Li Yibai said chivalrously, reaching for her luggage.
Wenxiu smiled warmly and walked ahead with Li Mei. The rest of the crew followed like carefree birds, eager to venture into the wide expanse outside.
"Ah!" After only a few steps, Li Mei bent down, clutching her stomach in pain.
The abrupt halt annoyed those behind her. "Are we moving or not?"
"If you’re not moving, we’re going ahead..."
"Exactly, why block the way?"
The complaints had barely subsided when suddenly, there was the unmistakable sound of spluttering. A nauseating stench filled the air as orange-colored liquid seeped through Li Mei’s pants, trailing down her legs.
Everyone froze! Diarrhea, in public? A young woman, no less!
They pinched their noses in disgust, and even Jia Wenxiu lifted her hand, ready to cover her nose—but then, she abruptly reached behind herself.
But to no avail, her willpower was overcome by her body, and the same spluttering sound erupted. The foul odor intensified as Jia Wenxiu clutched her face and screamed!
And she happened to be wearing a white skirt today—though knee-length, it was only knee-length.
Her once-pristine skirt was now stained with horrific streaks, causing everyone’s stomachs to churn with disgust.
"Ugh..." Li Yibai stared at Wenxiu in disbelief as the goddess image he had held of her crumbled in an instant.
Though he understood the reality of "nature calls," what distinguishes humans is their ability to civilize those moments. He awkwardly pinched his nose, but realizing it was not polite, he quickly let go.
But the smell was unbearable, forcing him to pinch his nose again.
The train attendant shouted loudly, "Hurry up, hurry up, why aren’t you disembarking yet? What’s going on here?!" She paused, confused—was she in a bathroom? How had the train compartment turned into a toilet in just moments?
Screams... cries... heart-wrenching chaos ensued as Li Mei and Jia Wenxiu darted off the train.
Especially Jia Wenxiu, who had always prided herself on her dignity; she hated the feeling of losing control over her bodily waste when she didn’t want to. She ran the fastest, almost as if propelled forward by her misfortune.
Li Yibai finally snapped out of it, grabbing a jacket and chasing after her, shouting behind her, "Wenxiu, wait! Cover yourself with this! You’ll be seen!"
"Look at those two girls—both rather good-looking—and yet, they decided to have diarrhea right in front of us! Isn’t there a bathroom on the train?"
"Young people these days, no self-restraint at all!"
"Maybe it was urgent?"
"Even if it was urgent, they should have held it in—don’t they see how many people are here?"
"What a buzzkill."
"Let’s stop talking, though—the poor girls are humiliated enough as is."
"Humiliated? Yet they still had the guts to poop in public?"
Tian Sangsang peered out the window, watching Jia Wenxiu and Li Mei scurry about in complete disgrace. Her mood soared.
Jia Wenxiu looked back at her, her gaze venomous like a scorpion.
Tian Sangsang met her gaze without fear, giving a thumbs-down gesture twice with her hand, laughing silently.
To be honest, since they harbored malicious intentions first, karma was inevitable. People like them did not deserve sympathy, and Tian Sangsang couldn’t muster the slightest bit of pity for them.
They were like two pieces of shit-stirring sticks—both foul and infuriating.
She was thoroughly done with being infected by the stench they brought into her life.
"Finally, I can breathe some fresh air. It’s no longer disgusting." She said, elegantly covering her nose and mouth with her pale hand, muttering, "Wait, no—it’s still disgusting."
Though the two had disembarked, the stench was stubbornly lingering.
Yao Yu and Chen Wan didn’t seem to notice the foul odor at all; they were busy leaning against the window, watching Jia Wenxiu and Li Mei outside.
The rest of the crew covered their noses while enthusiastically peering outside.
At last, a sense of revenge had been achieved!
Zhao Chun suddenly let go of the fabric covering his face, his wet eyes gazing at her. "You did this?"
"Yup. Revenge served—tenfold." She replied as she lowered her hand, only to quickly cover her nose again.
Everyone had their noses covered except for their eyes and brows, yet the atmosphere felt oddly warm.
After a long while, Tian Sangsang put her hand down and spoke solemnly, "For people like them, extraordinary measures are necessary. But we must be careful from now on... it’s hard to guard against vile people."
"What’s there to fear?" Yao Yu waved nonchalantly. "Since we know they’re petty, we’ll definitely be cautious. Sangsang, you’ve truly avenged us—I admire you!"
"If they don’t let this go, I’ll spread this embarrassing story of theirs—let’s see how they can still act smug." Chen Wan said bluntly.
The photographer, Xiaoming, scowled slightly, "How did I not realize before just how pretentious Li Yibai and Jia Wenxiu are? One writes novels but has such poor character—no point in reading his books anymore. And Jia Wenxiu? Beautiful, but so malicious—utterly terrifying."
Amid the cheerful laughter, Zhao Chun suddenly leaned closer and whispered, "Did you slip them laxatives?"
"Yup."
"How did you manage to do that? Wasn’t the cup in their hands? That couldn’t have been easy, right?"
"I swiped one of their cups." Tian Sangsang winked slyly.
"How did you swipe it?" Zhao Chun’s curiosity was piqued.
"Well..." She chuckled lightly. "Not telling you."
