Whether or not people would even want to return in the future was uncertain. But this was the last night, and Tian Sangsang wanted everyone to eat well, to face tomorrow with full stomachs.
From her space, Tian Sangsang took out over a hundred potatoes, more than fifty heads of crystal cabbage streaked with yellow and green, over fifty plump watermelons, more than fifty carp, five boxes of mandarins, eighty pounds of pork belly, and over sixty pounds of spare ribs. She didn’t dare take out too much—just enough for tonight’s meal.
Drizzling rain lingered in the air as waves of heat rolled through. Thankfully, there were no onlookers here—otherwise, seeing a person and sacks of supplies materialize out of thin air in the open air would surely make her the subject of suspicion, if not fear. Tian Sangsang counted the goods, set them down, and began to think of a way to notify the others—something that wouldn’t arouse suspicion toward her. To be cautious, she wore gloves while doing all this. Even if someone tried to check for fingerprints, they wouldn’t trace back to her.
"Sangsang." Suddenly, Guan Kunling’s calm voice rang out, startling Tian Sangsang so badly that she jumped.
"What are you doing here?" she asked. Creeping around like a ghost—silent and unseen.
