Reborn as the Villain's Wife, I Shine in 80s

Chapter 84 - 082 There’s a Man (Vote for Monthly Pass!)

The evening sky was blanketed with crimson clouds.

Little Milk Tea barked incessantly outside the yard.

Meng Shuyan ran outside and saw a filthy man lying outside the courtyard, startling him. "Mom, there’s a beggar passed out here!" he shouted into the house.

Poor guy. This beggar looks like a wounded fawn.

What? That little brat? This is Tian Sangsang’s house? Damn it!

Zhao Chun struggled to reach up and ruffle his hair, then touched his face. They actually called him a beggar? Damn it to hell! Alright, fine, maybe he hadn’t washed his face for three days. Or taken a bath. And, fine, maybe he was starting to attract fleas. Ughhhh... nausea rising... mustn’t puke.

"Don’t look." His voice came out. It was hoarse, raspy like an old man’s, his throat parched beyond belief.

"Uncle, are you starving? We have some food at home." The child’s big, dark eyes looked at him, brimming with purity and kindness.

Zhao Chun’s eyes stung, and the tears fell. He struggled to wipe them away, only for his hand to come away smeared with grime and filth. When the dragon’s in shallow water, it’s mocked by the shrimps; when the tiger descends from the mountain, it’s bullied by the dogs. He’d always had the world at his feet, and now even a little kid pitied him. Yet it was precisely this pity that moved him.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a tall figure by the fence. Damn it, it was Tian Sangsang! But he didn’t even have the strength to curse anymore...

Tian Sangsang could hardly reconcile the blackened, ragged man reeking of stench before her with the clean-shaven young man she’d met that day. To top it off, his hair was basically a garbage dump, with flies buzzing cheerily around it.
